Scherpenheuvel-Zichem (; french: Montaigu-Zichem) is a City status in Belgium, city and Municipalities of Belgium, municipality located in the province of Flemish Brabant, Flemish Region, Belgium, encompassing the towns of Averbode (village), Averbode, Messelbroek, Okselaar, Scherpenheuvel, Schoonderbuken, Keiberg, Kaggevinne, Testelt and Zichem, Belgium, Zichem (previously spelled Sichem, like the biblical town). On January 1, 2020, Scherpenheuvel-Zichem had a total population of 23,135. The total area is 50.50km2 which gives a population density of 458.1 inhabitants per km2. Holy site Scherpenheuvel (English: "sharp Hill"), the most important pilgrimage (Roman Catholic Church, Roman Catholic) site in Belgium, is located some 50km east of Brussels. Thibault Tassin de Montaigu (born 21 December 1978 in Boulogne-Billancourt) is a French writer and journalist. Biography Thibault de Montaigu was born on 21 December 1978 in Boulogne-Billancourt to Françoise Gallimard and Emmanuel Tassin de Montaigu. He is the maternal grandson of Simone Gallimard and Claude Gallimard. His maternal great-grandfather, Gaston Gallimard, was a founder of ''Nouvelle Revue Française'' and the founder of Éditions Gallimard. His father's family are members of the French nobility. Sofia Àchaval de Montaigu is an Argentine fashion model, stylist, editor and designer. Early life Sofia Àchaval was born and raised in Buenos Aires. Her family owned farms in Plamas where she would spend summers as a child. She went to school for film in Buenos Aires. The Counts of Montaigu were 12th century nobles of Lower Lotharingia who were closely associated with the Counts of Hesbaye, Counts of Duras and Clermont. This particular place called Montaigu (''Mons Acutus'', pointy mountain) was a castle located on the river Ourthe, opposite Rendeux, Marcourt near La Roche-en-Ardenne, La Roche in the Ardennes (department), Ardennes. Collège De Montaigu
The Collège de Montaigu was one of the constituent colleges of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Paris. History The college, originally called Collège des Aicelins, was founded in 1314 by Gilles I Aycelin de Montaigu, Archbishop of Narbonne and Archbishop of Rouen. It changed its name after it had been restored in 1388 by his relative Pierre Aycelin de Montaigut, Bishop of Nevers and Laon. In 1483 Jan Standonck became Master of the College and made it prosper. Under his leadership and that of his disciple Noël Béda, Montaigu was one of the leading theological colleges of Paris. Students at the college included Erasmus of Rotterdam, John Calvin, and Ignatius of Loyola (before moving to Collège de Sainte-Barbe). Château De Montaigut
The Château de Montaigut is a castle in the French ''commune'' of Gissac in the ''département'' of Aveyron. It is a listed monument since 1987. The first traces of the Château de Montaigut date from the 10th century. Built on a rocky outcrop dominating the valley of the Dourdou de Camarès river, it defended the town of Saint-Affrique against attacks from the south. Enlarged and transformed in the 15th century by the Blanc family, it was restored several times before falling into ruin. The association ''Amis du château de Montaigut'', which took ownership in 1968, undertook a massive restoration. The castle was finally restored in 1989. The castle is built on a Middle Ages necropolis. The castle has vaulted rooms served by a spiral staircase, a cellar, a cistern carved in the rock, a guard room and prison, bedrooms and kitchens.
