MonstrO (band)
MonstrO was an American rock band composed of drummer Bevan Davies (formerly of Still Rain, Danzig and Bloodsimple), lead guitarist Juan Montoya (formerly of Torche), singer/rhythm guitarist Charlie Suarez (formerly of Sunday Driver), and bassist Kyle Sanders (formerly of Bloodsimple and brother of Mastodon bassist Troy Sanders). They formed in late 2009 in Atlanta, Georgia and played their first gig in April 2010. The band drew upon music such as 1960s psychedelia, shoegaze, and heavy metal, as well as other personal influences. They signed with Vagrant Records in March 2011. Their self-titled debut album was released in August 2011, produced by William DuVall. They toured as the opening act for Clutch in 2012. The band has been inactive since 2013. Troy Sanders
Troy Jayson Sanders (born September 8, 1973) is an American musician, best known as a member of heavy metal band Mastodon, in which he plays bass and sings alongside guitarist Brent Hinds and drummer Brann Dailor. He is also active in Killer Be Killed and Gone Is Gone, as well as being the current touring bassist for Thin Lizzy. Biography Sanders first played when he had picked up his older brother Kyle's bass and decided to try it out, even though the bass was strung for a lefty, and he was right-handed. A few months later, he had talked his dad into buying him a bass. He started first playing in such bands as Four Hour Fogger, Knuckle and Puaka Balava. In 1995, Sanders joined the grindcore band Social Infestation as the bass player. Social Infestation has released one EP and two full-length albums. Clutch is an American rock band from Germantown, Maryland. Since its formation in 1991, the band line-up has included Tim Sult (lead guitar), Dan Maines (bass), Jean-Paul Gaster (drums), and Neil Fallon (vocals, rhythm guitar, keyboards). To date, Clutch has released thirteen studio albums, and several rarities and live albums. Since 2008, the band has been signed to their own record label, Weathermaker Music. William DuVall
William Bradley DuVall (born September 6, 1967) is an American musician best known as the current co-lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the rock band Alice in Chains. He joined Alice in Chains in 2006, replacing the band's original lead singer, Layne Staley, who died in 2002, and shares vocal duties with guitarist/vocalist Jerry Cantrell. DuVall has recorded three albums with the band: 2009's '' Black Gives Way to Blue'', 2013's ''The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here'', and 2018's ''Rainier Fog''. Vagrant Records is an American record label based in California. It was founded in 1995 by Rich Egan and Jon Cohen. Mastodon is an American heavy metal band from Atlanta, Georgia. Formed in 2000, the band's lineup of Troy Sanders (bass/vocals), Brent Hinds (lead guitar/vocals), Bill Kelliher (rhythm guitar/backing vocals) and Brann Dailor (drums/vocals) has remained the same since 2001.
