Monster Munchies is a cookery show which is broadcast on the British television channel Good Food Good Food was a cookery channel broadcasting in the United Kingdom and Ireland, latterly as part of the Discovery, Inc. network of channels. The channel originally launched on 5 November 2001 and relaunched in its final format on 22 June 2009. .... It is hosted by Matt Dawson. Format Teams made up of local cooks from the location where the episode is filmed, make mega dishes within a 24-hour time limit, sourcing large quantities of ingredients and firing up industrial-sized ovens. Five local judges will cast their eye over the enormous creations, and hundreds of local people will eat the dishes when they're completed. The winning team get a large gold wooden spoon. Matt Dawson
Matthew James Sutherland Dawson, MBE (born 31 October 1972) is an English retired rugby union player who played scrum half for Northampton Saints and then London Wasps. During his international career he toured with the British & Irish Lions three times and was part of England's 2003 Rugby World Cup winning side. He won 77 caps for his country in total, including nine as captain and was England's most capped scrum half until passed by Danny Care. Good Food was a cookery channel broadcasting in the United Kingdom and Ireland, latterly as part of the Discovery, Inc. network of channels. The channel originally launched on 5 November 2001 and relaunched in its final format on 22 June 2009. Good Food was available on satellite through Sky UK, Sky, on cable through Virgin Media, and through IPTV with TalkTalk TV, BT TV. From 2015 to 2018, Good Food was temporarily rebranded as Christmas Food during the festive season. Good Food ceased operations on 12 September 2019, with all its programmes moving to Food Network. History UKTV announced the launch of UK Food on 11 July 2001, as the first offshoot channel for HGTV (British and Irish TV channel), UK Style, being dedicated to cookery programmes that had previously been broadcast on the increasingly crowded UK Style.
