Monroe–Woodbury Central School District
The Monroe–Woodbury Central School District (MWCSD) is a school district in Orange County, New York. Most students in the school district live in the towns of Monroe or Woodbury, hence the name. However, there are some students in the district that live in either Harriman, Highland Mills, Central Valley, Chester, Blooming Grove, or Tuxedo. The district includes Monroe Village, most of Woodsbury, Harriman, Walton Park, and a portion of South Blooming Grove. The town of Monroe and portions of the towns of Blooming Grove, Chester, Tuxedo, and Woodbury are in the district boundaries. Kiryas Joel ( yi, קרית יואל, Kiryas Yoyel, ; often locally abbreviated as KJ) is a village coterminous with the Town of Palm Tree in Orange County, New York, United States. The village shares one government with the Town. The vast majority of its residents are Yiddish-speaking Hasidic Jews who belong to the worldwide Satmar sect of Hasidism. Kiryas Joel School District
Kiryas Joel Village Union Free School District is the public school district of Kiryas Joel, New York. Its purpose is to provide tax-supported special education to pupils in the community. Joel Petlin is the superintendent. The district also operates school buses and buys school supplies for the students in the community attending private schools; most Kiryas Joel students, as of 1995, attend private yeshivas.
