Mono Vs. Stereo
Mono vs Stereo is an independent record label based in Franklin, Tennessee. It was founded in 2003 as an imprint of Gotee Records. While Gotee signs mostly rap, hip-hop, and pop-rock artists, Mono vs Stereo leaned more towards indie music. History 2003–2006 Mono vs Stereo was established in 2003 and released its first project The compilation album featured the debut song from The Evan Anthem (also Mono vs Stereo's first signing) as well as an exclusive track from Matthew Thiessen and the Earthquakes (side project from Relient K's lead vocalist). Gotee Records
Gotee Records is a record label founded by Christian hip hop performer Toby McKeehan (known professionally as ''TobyMac''), Todd Collins, and Joey Elwood. The label began as a production company. At the time of the label's founding, McKeehan was a member of dc Talk. Formation of Gotee McKeehan and Collins intended to produce Out of Eden's ''Lovin' the Day'', but they couldn't find a label to sign the act to, and so formed Gotee Records and began distributing the band's material on their own. The label was a part of EMI Christian Music Group. However, they bought back EMI's minority share to become fully independent again as of March 31, 2008. Toby McKeehan is currently the president of the company and as of 2009, the label is currently distributed by Warner Bros. Records. McKeehan got the name "Gotee" from the song "Socially Acceptable" on dc Talk's album '' Free at Last''. House of Heroes is an American alternative rock band from Columbus, Ohio. They have released six albums: ''What You Want Is Now'' (2003), ''House of Heroes'' (2005), ''The End Is Not the End'' (2008), ''Suburba'' (2010), ''Cold Hard Want'' (2012), and ''Colors'' (2016). The Showdown is an American Christian metal band from Elizabethton, Tennessee. While the members of the band are Christian and the band is signed to a Christian record label, the band does not consider itself a Christian act, according to guitarist Josh Childers, while in an interview with Vocalist David Bunton, when asked about a Christian Metal band, answered without correcting the interviewer. Lyrically, their writing tells of heroism, sojourns and battles of life, most of which is influenced by Biblical aspects. As of 2008, they are signed to Solid State Records. The band supposedly formed in 2004 as "The Showdown" but was originally called "2540" from 1999 to 2004. A Not So Tragic Cover Up EP
Chasing Victory is an American post-hardcore band from Camilla, Georgia. Band history The band was formed in 2001 by vocalist Adam Harrell, guitarist Jason Lowery, drummer Jeremy Lowery, bassist Taylor Sullivan, and guitarist Michael Lamb while they were in high school. They started as a cover band called Bailey Drive, where they started writing songs for their debut EP ''A Not So Tragic Cover Up''. After the release of this EP, they signed with Mono vs. Stereo and released their first full-length album, ''I Call This Abandonment'', in 2005, followed by their second album, ''Fiends'', in 2007. It was released in 2003, a few months after the band's third full-length album, '' Two Lefts Don't Make a Right...but Three Do'' was released. ''The Vinyl Countdown'' was followed a few months later by the band's Christmas CD, ''Deck the Halls, Bruise Your Hand'', giving the band three releases in one year, and also the second recording on MVS. Last Tuesday was an American Christian punk band formed in 1999 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, United States. They played their final show on March 10, 2007. After the announcement from Steve Gee that he would be leaving the band, Last Tuesday no longer had any of its original members. Discography Their last release, '' Become What You Believe'', was very successful since its release on August 15, 2006. The new album showcased a heavier Last Tuesday, with more "screaming" from Carl, and heavier guitar riffs from Ben and Steve. I Am Terrified
I Am Terrified is an American post-hardcore band originating from Birmingham, Alabama. The band was signed to Gotee Records and toured to promote their self-titled debut EP, '' I Am Terrified''. History The band was formed as Fixed Til Tuesday in Birmingham by guitarist Jeremy Folse, vocalist Patrick Schefano, and drummer Joel Bailey by knowing each other from local schools and churches. Influenced both by the sound of church hymns and hardcore rock, the three formed the band and released an independent EP, ''Aww Son''. After much consideration and new thinking, Fixed Til Tuesday changed their name to I Am Terrified sometime between 2006 and 2010. The name comes straight from the verse in the Bible's Book of Job 23:14-15 which reads, "He carries out His decree against me, and many such plans He still has in store. Denison Witmer is an American singer-songwriter from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, United States. His first release, in 1995, was a cassette titled ''My Luck, My Love''. He has since released six studio LPs; two live albums, a cover album (''Recovered''); three EPs; and an LP with The River Bends—a side project consisting of members of the Philadelphia-based alt-country band One Star Hotel. Witmer's 2005 album, '' Are You a Dreamer?'', produced by Don Peris of The Innocence Mission and featuring Sufjan Stevens, received acclaim, including positive reviews from Pitchfork Media and ''Entertainment Weekly''. Farewell Flight
Farewell Flight is an American rock band that was formed in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 2003 by singer songwriter Luke Foley. Currently based in Nashville, TN, Foley is joined by lead guitarist Brian "Rabbit" Campbell, drummer Caleb Allensworth, and bassist Joshua St. Moblo. Deas Vail
Deas Vail () was an alternative rock band whose lyrics are influenced by their members' Christian faith. The band's name is a combination of Latin and old French, roughly translated as "humble servant of God." Their eponymous third full-length album earned them slots at Bonnaroo and a headlining performance at CMJ. History Noted for having musical similarities to Death Cab for Cutie, Mew, Copeland, and Mae, Deas Vail was formed in the university town of Russellville, Arkansas in 2003. After a couple of years of touring, Deas Vail signed to Brave New World Records (founded by producer Mark Lee Townsend) in 2005. In the fall of 2006, they released the Collapse EP.
