Monkey Magic was a magic show on Channel 5 in the UK, produced by Objective Productions, that ran for 2 series between 2003 and 2004. It was nominated for The Golden Rose of Montreux. The Guardian
''The Guardian'' is a British daily newspaper. It was founded in 1821 as ''The Manchester Guardian'', and changed its name in 1959. Rose D'Or
The Rose d'Or ('Golden Rose') is an international awards festival in entertainment broadcasting and programming. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) first acquired the Rose d’Or in 1961, when it was created by Swiss Television in the lakeside city of Montreux. The awards stayed with the EBU for almost 40 years. The EBU re-acquired the awards in 2013 and successfully re-launched the event that year in Brussels, then relocated to Berlin from 2014 to 2018. In 2014 the event took place on 17 September in Berlin, Germany. For the first time in its 53-year history, the competition categories were extended to include radio and online video programmes in addition to the traditional focus on television. Producers, executives from independent and public service broadcasters and heads of production companies from several countries took part. Jonathan Goodwin (escapologist)
Jonathan Goodwin (born 20 February 1980) is a retired escapologist and daredevil. Early life Goodwin was born in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, Wales, and grew up in Robeston Wathen. He attended the since-closed Tasker Milward Voluntary Controlled School in Haverfordwest. Career He first appeared on Channel 4 TV programme ''Dirty Tricks'' and has subsequently appeared in TV specials '' The Seven Stupidest Things to Escape From'', and ''Deathwish Live'' as well as Discovery Channel's '' One Way Out'' and ''How Not to Become Shark Bait'' in which he allowed himself to be attacked by a Caribbean reef shark. Goodwin returned to Discovery Channel in 2009 for a ten-part series of ''One Way Out'' which also starred engineer Terry Stroud. Pete Firman
Peter "Pete" Firman (born 26 April 1980) is an English magician, comedian and television presenter. He has appeared in magic shows on BBC1, ITV, Channel 4, Five, and Sky1. He was also the presenter of two game shows on CBBC: ''Stake Out'' and ''Wait for It..!'', and one of the regular magicians on series 2 of the BBC One show '' The Magicians''. Firman performs live in theatres and comedy clubs worldwide. Early life Born in Middlesbrough, Firman began his interest in magic as a child of eight when his mother bought him a magic book. He was educated at Acklam Grange Secondary School, where he twice won the school talent show. Ali Cook
Ali Cook (also credited as Alistair Cook) is an English magician, actor and comedian originating from Yorkshire. Cook played Sgt. Paul McMellon in the feature film ''Kajaki'', which won the ''Producer of The Year Award'' at the 2015 British Independent Film Awards and was nominated for a British Academy of Film and Television Arts Award in 2015. Cook's career started on the Channel 5 sketch series, The ''Jerry@Trick'' show with the alternative comedians Jerry Sadowitz, Phil Nichol and Boothby Graffoe. Andrew Newman, then the head of comedy at Five, spotted Cook during tapings which lead to him writing and starring in seven of his own comedy and Magic series for Channel 4, Channel 5, and Sky1.
