Monika Kobylińska
Monika Kobylińska (born 9 April 1995) is a Polish handball player for CSM București and the Polish national team. She competed at the 2015 World Women's Handball Championship in Denmark, the 2016 European Championship in Sweden, the 2017 World Championship in Germany, 2018 European Championship in France, the 2021 World Championship in Spain, and the 2022 European Championship in Slovenia, North Macedonia and Montenegro. She is currently the captain of the Polish national team. She previously played for GTPR Gdynia in Poland and TuS Metzingen in Germany. Żary
Żary (pronounced , german: Sorau, dsb, Žarow) is a town in western Poland with 37,502 inhabitants (2019), situated in the Lubusz Voivodeship since 1999. Previously it was located within Zielona Góra Voivodeship (1975–1998). It is the administrative seat of the Gmina Żary, though the town is not part of the gmina commune. Żary is located in the east of the historic Lower Lusatia region, in the borderland with the Silesian lowlands and Greater Poland, roughly outlined by the Bóbr and Oder rivers. 2020–21 Women's EHF Champions League
The 2020–21 Women's EHF Champions League was the 28th edition of Europe's premier club handball tournament, running from 12 September 2020 to 30 May 2021. There was no defending champion, after the season before was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Vipers Kristiansand defeated Brest Bretagne Handball to win their first title. Because of this pandemic, each local health department allowed a different number of spectators. Format The competition began with a group stage featuring 16 teams divided in two groups. Matches were played in a double round-robin system with home-and-away fixtures. In Groups A and B, originally the top two teams would have qualified for the quarterfinals, with teams ranked third to sixth entering the playoffs. After a decision by the EHF, all teams advanced. IHF World Women's Handball Championship
The IHF Women's Handball World Championship has been organized by the International Handball Federation since 1957. European teams have won every time except 1995 where South Korea won as the first team outside Europe and 2013 where Brazil won as the first American team. The biggest winners are Russia and Norway with four titles each. Nine teams participated in the first championship, this number has grown in steps to 32 (from 2021). In 1977 a B-tournament was introduced and later in 1986 a C-tournament which served as qualification for the real championship or A-tournament. SPR Arka Gdynia is a women's handball club from Gdynia, Poland, two-time Polish Champions. As of 2022–23, it competes in the I liga. In the past the club played as GTPR Gdynia and, for sponsorship reasons, as Łączpol Gdynia (2003–2009), Vistal Łączpol Gdynia (2009–2013), Vistal Gdynia (2013–2017).
