Mario Imperoli (24 June 1931 - 24 December 1977) was an Italian director, producer, screenwriter and journalist. Born in Rome, Imperoli started his career as a journalist for several magazines and newspapers. He entered the cinema industry in 1970, as the screenwriter and producer of the Vittorio De Sisti's giallo ''L'interrogatorio''. He later directed eight films, often characterized by erotic themes. Paolo Carlini
Paolo Carlini (6 January 1922 – 3 November 1979) was an Italian stage, television and film actor. He appeared in 45 films between 1940 and 1979. He is perhaps best-known to international audiences for his supporting role as the hairdresser Mario in ''Roman Holiday'' (1953) alongside Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck. Born in Sant'Arcangelo di Romagna, Carlini followed the acting courses held by actress Teresa Franchini and debuted at very young age on stage. He is regarded as one of the early stars of Italian television mini-series (the so-called "sceneggiati"). Gloria Guida (; born 19 November 1952) is an Italian actress and model. She is best known for starring in commedia erotica all'italiana, particularly the ''La liceale'' series, and also in erotic coming-of-age-drama films in the mid-1970s. Life and career Gloria Guida was born in Merano, Trentino-Alto Adige, to a family from Emilia Romagna. She moved with her family to Bologna as a child. ''Blue Jeans'' is a 1975 Italian erotic-drama film directed by Mario Imperoli and starring Gloria Guida. Plot Daniela (Gloria Guida), nicknamed "Blue Jeans" after her cut-off jean shorts, is an underage streetwalker. She is caught by the police and claims that she is the illegitimate daughter of Dr. Carlo Anselmi (Paolo Carlini), a renowned restoration artist living in Latina countryside. The commedia sexy all'italiana (, lit. "sex comedy Italian style"), also known as commedia scollacciata or commedia erotica all'italiana, is a subgenre of Italian ''commedia all'italiana'' film genre. Style ''Commedia sexy'' is characterized typically by both abundant female nudity and comedy, and by the minimal weight given to social criticism that was the basic ingredient of the main ''commedia all'italiana'' genre. Stories are often set in affluent environments such as wealthy households. It is closely connected to the sexual revolution, and it was something extremely new and innovative for that period.
