Mongolian Nationality Law
The Mongolian nationality law is a nationality law that determines who is a citizen of Mongolia. Current law Current citizenship law is guided by the 1992 Constitution of Mongolia and the Law of Mongolia on Nationality. The most recent amendments to the act was made on 7 December 2000. From the Nationality Act of Mongolia:Article 6. Basis for receiving Mongolian nationality A person shall become Mongolian citizen through one of the following ways: # by being born in Mongolia, # by obtaining Mongolian nationality, # by reinstating their Mongolian nationality, # international treaties and conventions Mongolia has ratified or is a signature. Article 7. A child receiving Mongolian nationality # If both parents are Mongolian nationals, the child shall receive Mongolian nationality regardless of where they were born. # A child, whose one parent is a Mongolian national and the other parent is a foreign national, shall receive Mongolian nationality if born in Mongolia. The State Great Khural, ; "State Great Assembly" is the unicameral parliament of Mongolia.Montsame News Agency. History ;1914–1919 Tögs-Ochiryn Namnansüren became the chairman of the State Great Khural in February 1914, and served until his death in April 1919. ;1924–1960 The first ''Ulsyn Ikh Khural'' was called to session in November 1924. This body was the legislature of the Mongolian People's Republic. It delegated much of its powers to an executive committee, the '' Ulsyn Baga Khural'' (Little Khural). The Great Khural held nine sessions between November 1924 and February 1949. Following electoral reforms in 1951, the numbering of its sessions began again. Mongolian People's Republic
The Mongolian People's Republic ( mn, Бүгд Найрамдах Монгол Ард Улс, БНМАУ; , ''BNMAU''; ) was a socialist state which existed from 1924 to 1992, located in the historical region of Outer Mongolia in East Asia. It was ruled by the Mongolian People's Party, Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party and maintained close links with the Soviet Union throughout its history. Geographically, it was bordered by China to its south and the Soviet Union (via the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, Russian SFSR) to its north.
