"Money" is the ninth single by British pop rock band Lawson. The single was released as the third single (first excl. '' Lawson EP'') from their upcoming second album '' Perspective'', set to release on 8 July 2016. The music video for "Money" was released on 4 February 2016. The single was released on 18 March 2016, via Polydor Records. "The song "Money" was written in a time when the band had none." - It was revealed that Lawson wrote the song years before whilst touring in a van, struggling to find gigs. The song is said to be revamped for 2016. Music video The music video for "Money" was directed by Carly Cussen. The video shows the foursome rocking it out in a pillared room and then having fun and performing in a party with guests. Lawson are an English pop rock band, consisting of Andy Brown (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Ryan Fletcher (bass guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), Joel Peat (lead guitar, keyboards, co-lead vocals) and Adam Pitts (drums, backing vocals, percussion). The band's debut album, '' Chapman Square'', was released on 22 October 2012 and reached number three on the UK Albums Chart. On 17 April 2020, the band released "Lovers", their first single after their 4-year hiatus. To date, the band have achieved seven UK top 20 hit singles. Emily B. Lazar is an American mastering engineer. She is the founder, president, and chief mastering engineer of The Lodge, an audio mastering facility that has operated in New York City's Greenwich Village since 1997. She won a Grammy Award for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical for Beck's album ''Colors'', becoming the first female mastering engineer to win in this category.
