Moland Kyrkje
Moland is a List of former municipalities of Norway, former municipality in the old Aust-Agder Counties of Norway, county in Norway. The municipality existed from 1962 until 1992 when it was merged into the present-day municipality of Arendal which is located in what is now Agder county. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Eydehavn which had a population of 6,011 in 1967 and 8,148 in 1992. Other villages in the municipality included Kilsund, Narestø, Saltrød, Brekka, Strengereid, Vatnebu, and Sagene, Aust-Agder, Sagene. Østre Agder
Østre Agder is a district or region in Agder county in southern Norway. The district covers the eastern, coastal areas of the county including the eight municipalities of Arendal, Tvedestrand, Risør, Grimstad, Gjerstad, Vegårshei, Åmli, and Froland. The city of Arendal is the largest city in the region. Other cities in the district include Tvedestrand, Grimstad, and Risør. Brekka
Brekka is a village in Arendal municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village is located along the European route E18 highway on the western shore of the lake Molandsvann. Brekka sits about north of the town of Arendal and the village of Longum lies about to the south. Historically, Brekka was the seat of the old municipality of Østre Moland (from 1838 until 1962). Hisøy
Hisøy (historically: ''Hisø'') is a former municipality in the old Aust-Agder county in Norway. The municipality existed from 1881 until 1992 when it was merged into the municipality of Arendal in what is now Agder county. At the time of its dissolution, it was the smallest municipality in the whole county. The municipality encompassed the islands of Hisøya, Gjervoldsøy, Havsøya, Ærøya, Store Torungen, Lille Torungen, and several other small, unpopulated islands. Tromøy
Tromøy (historic: ''Tromø'') is a former municipality in the old Aust-Agder county in Norway. The municipality existed from 1878 until its dissolution in 1992. The municipal area is now part of the municipality of Arendal in Agder county. The administrative centre was the village of Brekka, where the historic Tromøy Church is located. The municipality encompassed all of the island of Tromøya as well as many smaller surrounding islands such as Merdø, Gjesøya, Skilsøy, and Tromlingene. The municipality had two churches: the centuries-old Tromøy Church and the relatively new Færvik Church. Some of the main villages in Tromøy were Færvik, Brekka, Brattekleiv, Sandnes, Revesand, and Pusnes. Øyestad
Øyestad is a former municipality in the old Aust-Agder county in Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until 1992 when it was merged into the present-day municipality of Arendal which is now located in Agder county. At the time of its dissolution, the municipality of Øyestad encompassed most of the coastline between the towns of Grimstad and Arendal, along with the forested areas along the Nidelva river heading inland. Schei Committee
The Schei Committee ( no, Schei-komitéen) was a committee named by the Government of Norway to look into the organization of municipalities in Norway post-World War II. It convened in 1946, and its formal name was (The 1946 Committee on Municipal Division). Its more commonly used name derives from the committee leader, Nikolai Schei Nikolai Andreas Schei (9 May 1901 – 25 May 1985) was a Norwegian jurist and civil servant. He was born in Førde as the son of Per Schei (1872–1960) and Johanne Schei (1874–1963). Kunnskapsforlaget () is a Norwegian publishing company based in Oslo. Kunnskapsforlaget was established in 1975, as a partnership between H. Aschehoug & Co. (W. Nygaard) and Gyldendal Norsk Forlag. Tverrdalsøya
Tverrdalsøya is an island in Arendal municipality in Agder county, Norway. The island lies between the Oksefjorden, Eikelandsfjorden, and Kilsundet straits just off the mainland coast at the entrance to the Tvedestrandsfjorden which leads north to the town of Tvedestrand. The island of Flostaøya lies immediately to the south and the island of Borøy lies immediately to the east. The main population centre on the island is the village of Kilsund at the southern end of the island. Historically, the island was a part of the municipality of Dypvåg until 1902 when it was made a part of the new municipality of Flosta. Flostaøya
Flostaøya is an island in Arendal municipality in Agder county, Norway. The island lies along the Skaggerak coast between the islands of Tromøy to the southwest and Tverrdalsøya to the northeast. The island lies about northeast of the town of Arendal. Some of the larger villages on the island include Arnevik, Narestø, and Kalvøysund. The island has a bridge connection to the mainland at the southwest corner of the island and there is a bridge connection to Kilsund on the neighboring island of Tverrdalsøya at the north end. The island was historically part of the municipality of Dypvåg until 1902. In 1902, the island (along with Tverrdalsøya and part of the mainland) became a part of the new municipality of Flosta. Arendal () is a city in Agder county, Norway. The city is the administrative centre of the municipality of Arendal and the seat of the County Governor of Agder.
