Aziz Khan Mokri
Aziz Khan Mokri (also spelled Aziz Khan Mukri; fa, عزیزخان مکری; 1792 – 1871) was an Iranian military officer and grandee, who occupied high offices under the Qajar ''shah'' Naser al-Din Shah (). He served as the commander-in-chief of the army from 1853 to 1857. A native of Sardasht, Aziz Khan belonged to the Kurdish Mokri tribe. He spent his early career in the sixth regiment (''fawj-e sheshom'') of Azerbaijan, which he led as '' sarhang'' during the siege of Herat in 1837–1839. Dismissed for some time following his unsuccessful endeavors in the Herat operation, Aziz Khan was later appointed the consultant of Fars. There he eventually rose up to the position of ''sarhang'' of the fourth regiment of Tabriz, which was stationed in Fars. On 8 August 1853, Aziz Khan was promoted to ''sardar-e koll-e asaker'' (commander-in-chief of the army). Mohammad Mokri
Mohammad Mokri (1921 – July 12, 2007) (محمد مکری) was an Iranian scholar (Kurdologist) and author born in Kermanshah. He wrote over 100 books and 700 articles during his lifetime. He worked very closely with the Prime Minister of Iran Mohammad Mossadegh until his removal from power on August 19, 1953 during Operation Ajax. Mokri moved to Paris, France in 1953, where he lived until 1979 when he and Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini returned to Iran. He lived in Iran and worked as the personal aide to the Ayatollah. He served as Iran's first ambassador to the former Soviet Union after the revolution and later as ambassador to Mongolia. Following disagreements with Khomeini, he moved back to France. Mostafa Mokri ( fa, مصطفی مکری; December 6, 1921 – January 3, 2005) was an Iranian footballer. He served most of his career at Toufan. He was also former chairman of IRIFF and Persepolis. Playing career Mokri joined Toufan in 1940, when Hossein Sadaghiani was a member of the team. Those years, they had a huge contest with Daraei for Tehran League championship. Shahram Mokri ( fa, شهرام مکری)(born 1978) is an Iranian filmmaker. He graduated from Soore University. Mokri started his filmmaking training in the Young Cinema Association and entered the professional world of cinema with his short film "Dragonfly Storm" (2002). Career Mokri received three Crystal Simorghs from the Fajr Film Festival for short films. He holds the record for receiving Crystal Simorghs in this category. In addition to filmmaking, Shahram Mokri has worked as a film Teacher at the Sooreh University of Tehran, the University of Arts, as well as Karnameh Film School, and the Bamdad Film School.
