Mohun Bagan youth teams are the age group football teams of Indian professional multi-sports club Mohun Bagan. The U-21 and the reserve teams are generally referred to as last stage of progression for promotion of youth players into the first squad. The youth teams of various age groups participate in the Calcutta Football League, the Reliance Foundation Development League and the Elite League, also being directly eligible for the I-League 2. The team was set up with the leadership of the footballer Balai Das Chattopadhyay in 1944. Academy history Mohun Bagan collaborated with Steel Authority of India (SAIL) to establish a residential academy for youth development in 2002. On 20 July 2002 Mohun Bagan SAIL Football Academy was set up in Durgapur, and the primary objective of the academy was "Spot and Groom the Youth", with the best of training using modern techniques, tactics, physical and psychological conditioning, and related inputs, so that in near future, India could ...

Mohun Bagan Ground
Mohun Bagan Ground, also known as Mohun Bagan–Calcutta FC Ground, is a football stadium located in the maidan region of central Kolkata, just opposite the Eden Gardens. The stadium is leased to Mohun Bagan AC and is mostly used as training ground of ATK Mohun Bagan FC. The stadium has a capacity of 22,000 spectators. The club offices of Mohun Bagan are adjacent to it. It is also the home ground of Calcutta FC which it shares with Mohun Bagan. History The first ground of the club was inside the famous marble palace, owned by Kirti Mitra of the Mitra family and known as Mohun Bagan Villa. It was situated in Fariapukur lane of north Kolkata. As a football ground however, this ground was not sufficiently large. It is believed that Mohun Bagan played the first match on this very ground against the students of Eden Hindu hostel. ATK Mohun Bagan FC () is an Indian professional football club based in Kolkata, West Bengal. The club competes in Indian Super League, the top flight of Indian football. The 2017 IFA Shield was the 121st edition of the IFA Shield. The tournament was designed as a U19 youth football tournament since 2015.That year, ten football clubs participated in final round. FC Pune City beat Mohun Bagan A.C. in final by 3–0 on 11 June 2017 to clinch their first IFA Shield title. Venue All the matches were held at East Bengal Ground, Mohun Bagan Ground, Mohammedan Sporting Ground and Howrah Maidan.
