Mohsin Raza (composer)
Mohsin Raza (محسن رضا) is a Pakistani television music director. Career Mohsin Raza was born in Lahore, Pakistan in 1956. He went to Government College University, Lahore, Pakistan for higher education. He started his career as a music composer in 1971 at age 15. Mohsin Raza learned music from Ustad Nazar Hussain and the pianist Master Saqib of Pakistani television at Lahore. He then worked with EMI (Pakistan) from 1973 to 1995 and with the BBC for two years (1984–1985). He has composed music for and conducted more than 500 TV programmes for Pakistani television (PTV) and Radio Pakistan. The Government College University, Lahore (colloquially known as GCU), is a public research university located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. Opened as Government College, Lahore, in 1864, it became a university in 2002. Overview In 1864, Government College was established by the British government in India. The Sitara-e-Imtiaz () also spelled as Sitara-i-Imtiaz, is the third-highest (in the order of "Imtiaz") honour and civilian award in the State of Pakistan. It recognizes individuals who have made an "especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of Pakistan, world peace, cultural or other significant public endeavours". This award is not limited to the citizens of Pakistan, and it can also be awarded to foreign citizens based on their achievements and services done to the State of Pakistan (see Władysław Turowicz). Mamnoon Hussain
Mamnoon Hussain ( ur, ; 22 December 1941 – 14 July 2021) was a Pakistani politician and industrialist who served as the 12th president of Pakistan from 2013 to 2018. He was first appointed Governor of Sindh in June 1999 by President Rafiq Tarar; but was removed from the post in October 1999 due to the 1999 military coup d'état. Hussain was then nominated for the presidency by the PMLN in July 2013 and was elected through an indirect presidential election. Hussain took over the presidency after an oath administered by the Chief Justice of Pakistan on 9 September 2013. Hussain maintained a low-key profile as president and his role was rarely seen in the nation's politics, although he was involved in a polio eradication program.
