Mohannad Nassir
Mohannad Nassir ( ar, مهند ناصر) (born 13 July 1980) is an Iraqi former football (soccer) midfielder who last played for Najaf. Mohanad Nassir was a regular in the 2000 Asian Youth Championship winning team in Tehran. A few months before the finals in Tehran, the Al-Zawraa midfielder was called up by Milan Zivadinovic's assistant Barja Maric into the Iraqi B team, playing in an international tournament in Indonesia. Al-Zawraa Sports Club ( ar, نادي الزوراء الرياضي) is an Iraqi sports club based in Utayfia, Karkh District (near Tigris River), Baghdad. Their football team compete in the Iraqi Premier League, the top-flight of Iraqi football. Al-Zawraa are the most decorated club in Iraq having won 14 Premier League titles, 16 Iraq FA Cups and 5 Iraqi Super Cups, all national records. Al-Zawraa also won the Iraqi Elite Cup a joint-record 3 times. Al-Najaf Sports Club ( ar, نادي النجف الرياضي) is an Iraqi professional football club based in Najaf. They are members of the Iraqi Premier League. Al-Najaf has competed in the 2007 AFC Champions League.
