Mohan Singh Bisht
Mohan Singh Bisht (; born 2 June 1957) is an Indian politician from Delhi, belonging to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He is a Member of the Delhi Legislative Assembly from Karawal Nagar Vidhan Sabha constituency. He was elected successively in 1998, 2003, 2008, 2013, and 2020. Early life Bisht was born on 2 June 1957 to Khushal Singh Bisht and Hira Devi at Ajoli village, Almora district, Uttarakhand. He was attracted to politics at a young age, as he enjoyed seeing politicians visit his village in an effort to garner votes. Political career Affiliations In 1976 he moved to Delhi and joined Bharatiya Jana Sangh, predecessor of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He joined the Hindu nationalist organisation Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (English: National Volunteer Organisation) in 1992, becoming a swayamsevak. Kabaddi is a contact team sport. Played between two teams of seven players, the objective of the game is for a single player on offence, referred to as a "raider", to run into the opposing team's half of the court, touch out as many of their players and return to their own half of the court, all without being tackled by the defenders in 30 seconds. Points are scored for each player tagged by the raider, while the opposing team earns a point for stopping the raider. The Aam Aadmi Party (; AAP) is a political party in India, as one of the national political parties. 2013 Delhi State Assembly Elections
The Delhi Legislative Assembly election was held on 4 December 2013, with the result announced on 8 December resulting in formation of the Fifth Legislative Assembly of Delhi.
