Mohammed Lawal Rafindadi
Mohammed Lawal Rafindadi (1934–2007) was a Nigerian diplomat and security chief from Katsina state. Ambassador Rafindadi was a career diplomat in the Nigerian foreign service and also a pioneer intelligence officer in the Research Department (RD) of the Foreign Ministry. He served as Nigeria's Ambassador to West Germany between 1981 and 1983 and later as the third and last Director-General of the National Security Organization (NSO). Life Rafindadi was born on February 12, 1936 in his home town of Katsina. He enrolled at Gafai Elementary School in 1944 finishing his primary education in 1948. He then proceeded to Provincial Secondary School, Katsina (1948-1953) and in 1954, he attended Clerical Training College, Zaria. In 1954, he joined the civil service working for the Northern Nigeria regional government. National Security Organization
The National Security Organization (NSO) of Nigeria, or Nigerian Security Organization, was created under Decree number 27 of 1976 by the military regime of Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo, after the failed Buka Suka Dimka, Dimka coup which claimed the life of former Head of State Gen. Murtala Mohammed. The NSO was given a mandate of co-ordinating Internal Security, Foreign Intelligence and counterintelligence activities. It was charged with the detection and prevention of any crime against the security of the state, with the protection of classified materials, and with carrying out any other security missions assigned by the president. During the time of the military regime, and continuing through the Nigerian Second Republic, the NSO was accused of carrying out systematic and widespread human rights abuses, especially of those seen to be critical of the government. Muhammadu Buhari (born 17 December 1942) is a Nigerian politician and current president of Nigeria since 2015. Buhari is a retired Nigerian Army major general who served as the country's military head of state from 31 December 1983 to 27 August 1985, after taking power in a military coup d'état. Ibrahim Babangida
Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (born 17 August, 1941) is a retired Nigerian Army general and politician. He served as military president of Nigeria from 1985 until his resignation in 1993. He rose through the ranks to serve from 1984 to 1985 as Chief of Army Staff; going on to orchestrate his seizure of power in a coup d'état against Muhammadu Buhari. Umaru Abdulrahman Dikko (31 December 1936 – 1 July 2014) was a Nigerian politician. He was an adviser to President Shehu Shagari and served as minister for transportation from 1979 to 1983. Early life Dikko was born in Wamba. Wamba is small village near Zaria in Kaduna state of northern Nigeria.
