Mohammed Aqeel
Mohammed Aqeel ( ur, ; alias Dr. Usman) (d. December 19, 2014, by hanging) was a Pakistani militant and member of the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and former soldier in Pakistan Army Medical Corps where he worked until 2006. Originally from Kahuta Tehsil in Punjab. Aqeel was suspected of involvement in the February 2008 assassination of Lieutenant General Mushtaq Ahmed Baig, the Surgeon General of the Army Medical Corps. Dr. Usman was also arrested in connection with the Islamabad Marriott Hotel bombing in September 2008. Aqeel is the suspected mastermind of March 3, 2009 attack on the Sri Lanka national cricket team. On March 9, 2009 he escaped when police raided his hideout early in the morning. 2009 Pakistan Army General Headquarters Attack
The Pakistan Army General Headquarters attack (Codename: Operation Janbaz; ur, فوجی آپریشن جانباز), was a hostage-rescue mission carried by SSG Division on 10 October 2009, when 10 gunmen in military uniform opened fire on the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, Punjab, Pakistan. The attack killed nine soldiers, nine militants and two civilians and was a major escalation in Pakistan's domestic insurgency. One militant was wounded and captured by security forces. Soon after the attack, the militants infiltrated the security buildings where 22 civilian and military officials were held hostage by the militants. The Pakistan Army immediately launched a hostage rescue operation led by the SSG Division, Army Special Forces and the 13th Regular Regiment. 2014 Peshawar School Attack
On 16 December 2014, six gunmen affiliated with the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) conducted a terrorist attack on the Army Public School in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar. The militants, all of whom were foreign nationals, comprising one Chechen, three Arabs and two Afghans, entered the school and opened fire on school staff and children, killing 149 people including 132 schoolchildren ranging between eight and eighteen years of age, making it the world's fourth deadliest school massacre.
