Mohammad Nouri (singer)
Mohammad Nouri ( fa, محمد نوری , December 22, 1929 – July 31, 2010) was one of the foremost folk and pop singers in Iran. Before the 1979 Iranian Revolution, Nouri was relatively unknown among Iranian pop music lovers mainly because his string orchestral pop tunes hardly fit for disco and party entertainment, not to mention little exposure and publicity efforts on his part. Biography Nouri studied English Language and Literature at the University of Tehran, but continued his professional career in music. He studied Persian music under Esmaeil Mehrtash and music theory and piano under Sirous Shahrdar and Fereidoun Farzaneh. In his singing style he was considered as a follower of Hossein Aslani and Naser Hosseini. Rasht
Rasht ( fa, رشت, Rašt ; glk, Rəšt, script=Latn; also romanized as Resht and Rast, and often spelt ''Recht'' in French and older German manuscripts) is the capital city of Gilan Province, Iran. Also known as the "City of Rain" (, ''Ŝahre Bārān''), it had a population of 679,995 as of the 2016 census and is the most populated city of northern Iran. Reza Shirmarz (Persian رضا شیرمرز), is a Greece-based published and awarded playwright, translator, researcher, theatre director and essayist with more than 30 books both written and translated by him, who has been collaborating with major publishing companies, theaters, drama schools, radio channels, journals, etc. in Iran. Reza Shirmarz was elected as a member of the board of directors of Iran's Playwrights Guild for 3 ongoing years.
