Muhammad Khurshid Alam Sarkar is a Judge on the High Court Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court. Early life Sarkar was born on 1 March 1972. He completed his bachelor's degree and masters in law from the University of Dhaka. He also completed a second law degree from the United Kingdom. Career Sarkar became a lawyer of the district courts on 1 April 1995. On 7 March 1996, Sarkar became a lawyer of the High Court Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court. On 24 August 2010, Sarkar became a lawyer of the Appellate Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court. Sarkar was appointed an Additional Judge of the High Court Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court on 20 October 2011. The High Court Division, Supreme Court of Bangladesh ( bn, হাইকোর্ট ডিভিশন) popularly known as the 'High Court' is one of the two divisions of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, the other division being the Appellate Division. It consists of the Chief Justice of Bangladesh and the Judges of the High Court Division. The University of Dhaka (also known as Dhaka University, or DU) is a public research university located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is the oldest university in Bangladesh. Purbachal New Town Project or formerly Purbachal Residential Model Town is the biggest planned township in Bangladesh. The project area consists of about 6,227 acres (25 square kilometer) land located in between the Shitalakhya and the Balu River at Rupgonj thana of Narayanganj District and at Kaligonj Thana of Gazipur District, in the northeastern side of Dhaka. AHM Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik is a retired judge of the Appellate Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court who gained notoriety for a number of controversial cases.
