Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman Jewel ( bn, মোহাম্মদ মাহবুবুর রহমান জুয়েল) is a Bangladeshi footballer who plays as a forward for Sheikh Jamal DC and the Bangladesh national team. As a versatile forward, he can operate as a centre forward, second striker or winger. Club career Early career Jewel started football training under Ibrahim Khalil, a local coach, in his early age. He trained alongside Sohel Rana and Pappu Hossain. In 2013, he got admitted in Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan by passing exam. He played in many tournaments in Bangladesh and India for BKSP youth team. Jewel played in 2015 Pioneer Football League, country's grassroot youth league, for Bangladesh Ansar FC. He played a vital role in making his team champion as he was the Most Valuable Player and top scorer of the league. He scored total 22 goals in the league including one in the final match. The Bangladesh national football team ( bn, বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় ফুটবল দল) is the national recognised football team of Bangladesh and is controlled by the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF). It is a member of the Asian Football Confederation, and became a member of FIFA in 1974, even though the Bangladesh Football Federation was first founded in 1972. Bangladesh was elected as a member of the AFC Executive Committee in 1982–1986 and 1998–2002. Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) ( bn, বাংলাদেশ ক্রীড়া শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান, Bangladesh Institute of Sports Education) is the national sports institute of Bangladesh. It is residential and is located at Savar Upazila, Savar, about north-west of the capital, Dhaka, and about north of the National Martyrs' Memorial. It is a government-funded autonomous institution. The 2021 Independence Cup was the 11th edition of the Independence Cup, the main domestic annual top tier clubs football tournament organized by Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF). Bangladesh Federation Cup
Federation Cup, also known as Bangladesh Federation Cup, is Bangladesh's premier cup competition in men's association football. The competition started in 1980 and is run by the Bangladesh Football Federation which is responsible for all types of competitive matches in the country. The teams from the country's premier league and other clubs compete in the tournament while occasionally Indian sides were invited in the past.
