Mohamed Ibrahim (snooker Player)
Mohamed Ibrahim ( arz, محمد ابراهيم, born 3 March 1990) is an Egyptian professional snooker player. He returned to the professional tour after a three year absence after he won the 2022 African Snooker Championship. __TOC__ Career As the winner of the 2018 ABSF African Snooker Championships he was awarded a place on the professional snooker tour for the 2018–19 season on a two-year card. In October 2018 Ibrahim withdrew his tour card, having not entered a single match during the season. He previously competed at the highest level at the 2012 Six-red World Championship where he pushed eventual tournament winner Mark Davis to a deciding frame. He won the 2022 African Snooker Championship in Casablanca, Morocco in July 2022. He secured his first win back on tour defeating Julien Leclercq in UK Championship qualifying in November 2022. The 2023 Welsh Open (officially the 2023 BetVictor Welsh Open) was a professional snooker tournament that took place from 13 to 19 February 2023 at Venue Cymru in Llandudno, Wales, marking the first time since the event's inception in 1992 that it was staged elsewhere than Newport or Cardiff. Snooker World Rankings
The snooker world rankings are the official system of ranking professional snooker players to determine automatic qualification and seeding for tournaments on the World Snooker Tour. The ranking lists are maintained by the sport's governing body, the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association. Each player's world ranking is based on their performances in designated ranking tournaments over the preceding two years. The world ranking list is updated after every ranking tournament. The system of world rankings was inaugurated in the 1976–77 season. The Scottish Open is a ranking professional snooker tournament held in the United Kingdom. The tournament had many name changes in its history, as the tournament was formerly called International Open, Matchroom Trophy and Players Championship. The Snooker Shoot Out is a professional ranking snooker tournament played under a variation of the standard rules. The 2017 event was the first time the tournament was staged as a ranking event. History Single frame snooker competition was a staple of early televised coverage of the sport, and largely responsible for bringing the game to the mainstream of British sport, primarily through the BBC's popular ''Pot Black'' programme. The UK Championship is a professional ranking snooker tournament. It is one of snooker's prestigious Triple Crown events, along with the World Championship and the Masters.
