Mohamed El-Tabii
Mohamed El-Tabii ( ar, محمد التابعي; 18 May 1896 in Port Said – 24 December 1976 in El Senbellawein) was a leading Egyptian political writer, journalist and a pioneer of modern press in Egypt and the Arab World, so much so that he was dubbed "Prince of Journalism". Biography Mohamed El Tabii or "El Ostaz" as he became later known among his peers and colleagues, first joined ''Rose al-Yūsuf'' in 1923, where he made many changes that brought it to the front line as a leading political magazine. In 1934, he founded the weekly magazine ''Akher Saa'' which became the leading magazine in fast news with political jokes and caricatures. He later sold it Akhbar El Yom press group and it continues to be published by that group. Al Misri
''Al Misri'' ( ar, المصري, lit=The Egyptian) was a nationalist newspaper which was published in Cairo, Egypt, between 1936 and 1954. The paper was one of the most read newspapers during its lifetime and closed down by the Egyptian authorities on 4 May 1954. History and profile ''Al Misri'' was established by Karim Thabit, Muhammad Al Tabai and Mahmoud Abu Al Fath in 1936. Elie Politi, a leading Jewish businessman, assisted the foundation of the paper. Soon after its start Mahmoud Abu Al Fath bought the paper for a few thousand dollars and made it an official media outlet of the Wafd Party. Mahmoud Abu Al Fath's younger siblings worked at the paper: Hussein Abu Al Fath was the managing editor, and Ahmad Abu Al Fath was the editor of ''Al Misri''. Mahmud Abu Al-Fath
Mahmud Abu al-Fath (1885–1958) was an Egyptian journalist, founder and owner of the Wafdist newspaper ''Al Misri''. Biography Abu Al-Fath was born in 1885, and his father, Sheikh Ahmed Abu Al-Fath, was a professor of the Islamic law. Mahmud Abu al-Fath was a member of the Wafd Party and served in the Egyptian Senate following World War II. Port Said
Port Said ( ar, بورسعيد, Būrsaʿīd, ; grc, Πηλούσιον, Pēlousion) is a city that lies in northeast Egypt extending about along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, north of the Suez Canal. History and profile ''Rose al-Yūsuf'' was first published on 26 October 1925. The magazine was named after its founder, Rose al Yusuf.
