Muhammad Abdu Rahiman, also Muhammad Abdu Rahiman Sahib; 1898 – 23 April 1945) was an Indian freedom fighter, Muslim leader, scholar, and politician from Kerala. He served as president of Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee(Malabar) in 1939. Ali ibn Shaykh Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman was a prominent Persian physician who is thought to have lived in the 17th century. Little is known of this author. What is certain is that he composed a large Persian medical encyclopedia, in didactic verse, titled ''Jawahir al-maqal'' ("The Gems of Discourse") which is preserved in only two copies: one at The National Library of Medicine, and one in Oxford University. It is thought that he was a rather recent figure, probably from the seventeenth century. But he must certainly have lived before 1791, when an owner's note was appended to the undated NLM manuscript. Mohammed Omar Abdel-Rahman (محمد عمر عبدالرحمن) is an Egyptian who was in United States custody in one of the CIA's "black sites". Also known as "Asadullah" (''i.e. The lion of God.'') Human Rights Watch reports he is the son of Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman, the "blind sheikh" who was convicted of involvement in the first al Qaeda bombing of the World Trade Center, in 1993. Muhammad was the son of the last emir of Nejd, Abdul Rahman bin Faisal, and Sara bint Jiluwi, both from the House of Saud. Muhammad was an early supporter of his half-brother, King Abdulaziz, but they had a falling-out after both attempted to place their sons in line for kingship.
