Mod Con
Mod Con are an Australian trio consisting of Erica Dunn, Sara Retallick and Raquel Solier. They released their debut studio album ''Modern Convenience'' in April 2018. Their second, ''Modern Condition'' was released in October 2021. History Mod Con is a three-piece based out of Melbourne who originally played together under the moniker ''Palm Springs''. Having known each other for some time and playing with various solo and collaborative projects. Over Easter 2017, the trio recorded their debut album with Gareth Liddiard at his home in the Goulburn Valley. The album was released in April 2018 and described by ''NME Australia'' as "One of the most inventive, attention-grabbing local debuts in recent memory." The compact disc (CD) is a Digital media, digital optical disc data storage format that was co-developed by Philips and Sony to store and play digital audio recordings. 2021 Music Victoria Awards
The 2021 Music Victoria Awards were the 16th Annual Music Victoria Awards. The ceremony took place on 9 December 2021 at the Melbourne Recital Centre. The 2021 awards featured a number of changes, including a brand new category for Best Pop Act and the inaugural Arts Access Victoria Amplify Award (for deaf and disabled musicians). All genre categories will now be assessed on the act rather than album, with the requirement that nominees have released at least multiple recordings between 1 July 2020 – 30 June 2021. New CEO Simone Schinkel headed up the event for the first time this year, taking over from Music Victoria founder, Patrick Donovan. The Music Victoria Awards (previously known as The Age EG Awards and The Age Music Victoria Awards) are an annual awards night celebrating music from the Australian state of Victoria.
