The Secret Six is the name of three different fictional comic book teams in the , plus an alternate universe's fourth team. Each team has had six members, led by a mysterious figure named Mockingbird, whom the characters assume to be one of the other five members. The third, anti-heroic incarnation of the Secret Six was rated by IGN as the fourth ''Best Comic Run of the Decade'' in 2012. Publication history Original Secret Six The Secret Six first appeared during the Silver Age of Comic Books in the initial team's seven-issue title ''Secret Six'' (May 1968 – May 1969). Unusually, the premiere issue's story began on the cover, and continued on the interior's page one. This strike team of covert operatives consisted of August Durant, Lili de Neuve, Carlo di Rienzi, Mike Tempest, Crimson Dawn and King Savage. Created by writer E. Bane (DC Comics)
Bane is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by writer Chuck Dixon and artist Graham Nolan, he made his debut in ''Batman: Vengeance of Bane'' #1 (January 1993). Bane is usually depicted as a dangerous adversary of the superhero Batman, and belongs to the collective of enemies that make up the Batman's rogues gallery. Possessing a mix of brute strength and exceptional intelligence, Bane is often credited as the only villain to have "broken the bat", defeating him both physically and mentally. He is a son of another of Batman's enemies, King Snake. Robert Swenson portrayed Bane in the 1997 film '' Batman & Robin'', while Tom Hardy played him in the 2012 film ''The Dark Knight Rises''. In comics, an ongoing series is a series that runs indefinitely. This is in contrast to limited series (a series intended to end after a certain number of issues thus limited), a one shot (a comic book which is not a part of an ongoing series), a graphic novel, or a trade paperback. However, a series of graphic novels may be considered ongoing as well. The term may also informally refer to a current or incomplete limited series with a predetermined number of issues. Rag Doll is the name of three different supervillains appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Peter Merkel is a villain of the original Flash (Jay Garrick), Flash. The second Rag Doll is an enemy of Starman (Jack Knight), Starman. The third Rag Doll is the son of the original and a member of the Secret Six (comics), Secret Six.
