MobileWalla is a Singapore-based web-based search portal for applications targeted at mobile devices. It was founded on 7 March 2011 by Dr. Anindya Datta, a professor with the NUS School of Computing, School of Computing, National University of Singapore. The portal is the first ever deep search and discovery engine for finding apps and uses around 114 variables for its rating system. During 2016 United States elections, 2016 US elections, the firm targeted evangelicals with cell's phone location in real time of 6 months preceding the election. End of May 2020, the firm targeted George Floyd protests, George Floyd protesters located in New York, Los Angeles, Minneapolis and Atlanta and published a report 2 weeks after showing demographics data: ethnicity, gender and age distribution. 2016 United States Elections
The 2016 United States elections were held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. Republican nominee Donald Trump defeated Democratic former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the presidential election, while Republicans retained control of Congress. This marked the first and most recent time Republicans won or held unified control of the presidency and Congress since 2004. Trump won his party's nomination after defeating Ted Cruz and several other candidates in the 2016 Republican presidential primaries. George Floyd Protests
The George Floyd protests were a series of protests and civil unrest against police brutality and racism that began in Minneapolis on May 26, 2020, and largely took place during 2020. The civil unrest and protests began as part of international reactions to the murder of George Floyd, a 46-year-old African American man who was murdered during an arrest after Derek Chauvin, a Minneapolis Police Department officer, knelt on Floyd's neck for 9 minutes and 29 seconds as three other officers looked on and prevented passers-by from intervening. Chauvin and the other three officers involved were later arrested. In April 2021, Chauvin was found guilty of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter. Chauvin was sentenced to 22.5 years in prison with possibility of supervised release after 15 years for second-degree murder in June 2021.
