The Mnet Asian Music Award for Best Mixed Group was an award presented annually by CJ E&M Pictures (Mnet) from 2000 to 2009. It was first awarded on the 2nd Mnet Asian Music Awards ceremony held in 2000; S#arp won the award for their performance in "Great!", and it is given in honor for the mixed group with the most artistic achievement in the music industry. The MAMA Awards (formerly Mnet Asian Music Awards) is a major music awards ceremony presented annually by entertainment company CJ E&M. First held in South Korea, the majority of prizes has been won by K-pop artists, although there are other Asian artists winning in various award categories, such as for Best Asian Artist and other professional-related awards. Typhoon (South Korean Band)
Typhoon (타이푼) was South Korean music group. Typhoon was signed with Trifecta Entertainment (Korea). Due to Solbi's busy schedule in 2008, she was not able to participate in Typhoon's 3rd album ''Rendezvous'', so therefore another female vocalist replaced her. However, this did not confirm Solbi's departure from the group, she was able to remain a member and work again when she was able to. In February 2009, Hana officially left the group after only 2 months. Singer Lee Kyung, who sang for the OST of MBC drama Wise Mothers and Good Wives, officially replaced her on February 6. The 2007 Mnet KM Music Festival (MKMF) was the ninth of the annual music awards in Seoul, South Korea that took place on November 17, 2007, at the Seoul Sports Complex. Boy band Big Bang, trio SG Wannabe, and solo artist Yangpa lead the nominees with five nominations each. Jaurim ( meaning "Purple Rainforest") is a rock band from Seoul, South Korea. They had performed in the indie scene in 1993. The band's initial name was Full Count. Turtles (South Korean Band)
Turtles () was a South Korean hip-hop group which debuted in 2001. The single "Airplane" (bihaengi) from their fourth album topped the KBS chart in September 2006. The lead singer and rapper of the group, "Turtleman" (born Lim Sung-hoon), died of a heart attack on April 2, 2008; he was found by his manager at his apartment. Cherry Filter (체리 필터) is a South Korean rock group formed in 1997. Their unique sound - consisting of emotional ballads, punk rock, rave and trance - prevalent in their last two albums has given them fame across South Korea. The song "낭만 고양이" (''Nangman Goyang-i'', "Romantic Cat") from the album ''Made In Korea'' made Cherry Filter famous.
