Norayr Mnatsakanyan ( hy, Նորայր Մնացականյան, January 7, 1923 – March 25, 1986) was a Merited Artist of the Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic (1965). As a renowned vocal performer of Armenian traditional and gusans' music, Norayr Mnatsakanyan has become one of the most influential vocalists in the canon of Armenian national music. Owing to his dainty baritone, profound knowledge of Armenian folk music, and his mastery of the Armenian language and Armenian literature, Norayr Mnatsakanyan has been highly acclaimed among famous writers, musicologists, and Armenian folk music lovers. Zohrab Hrachiki Mnatsakanyan ( hy, Զոհրաբ Հրաչիկի Մնացականյան, born 20 March 1966) is an Armenian diplomat. Mnatsakanyan previously served as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Armenia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations. Early life and education Mnatsakanyan was born on 20 March 1966 in Yerevan. In 1989 he had an academic visit and internship at the Embassy of Soviet Union in Washington, D.C., United States. In 1990, at the age of about twenty-four, Mnatsakanyan graduated from the Faculty of International Business Relations of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. Lala Mnatsakanyan ( hy, Լալա Բաբկենի Մնացականյան, born 8 October 1957) is an Armenian actress and Honoured Artist of Armenia. Levon Mnatsakanyan (Armenian:Լեւոն Մնացականյան; born 14 September 1965) is a politician, and a former Minister of Defence of Artsakh. Biography He was born in Stepanakert in 1965 to an Armenian family. Mnatsakanyan began his military service in 1983 when he moved to the Belarusian SSR to work in the Soviet Army's Belarusian Military District. In 1989, he graduated with honors from the Karl Marx Institute of Polytechnic. During the period after the Soviet Union fell apart when Armenia began to build up its military, Mnatsakanyan served in artillery units in the Artsakh Defense Army and the Armed Forces of Armenia. Mamikon Mnatsakanian
Mamikon A. Mnatsakanian (1942-2021) ( hy, Մամիկոն Մնացականյան) was an Armenian physicist. In 1959, he discovered a new proof of the Pythagorean theorem. He received a Ph.D. in physics in 1969 from Yerevan State University, where he became professor of astrophysics. As an undergraduate he specialized in the development of geometric methods for solving calculus problems by a visual approach that makes no use of formulas, which he later developed into his system of visual calculus. He was a Project Associate at Project Mathematics! at the California Institute of Technology. With co-author Tom Apostol, he won the Mathematical Association of America's award in 2005, 2008, and 2010.
