Mmuseumm is a modern natural history museum located in Tribeca, Lower Manhattan in New York City, dedicated to its signature curatorial style of "Object Journalism" and draws parallels to the older cabinet of curiosities model. History The Mmuseumm was founded by Alex Kalman and the Safdie brothers. It curates its content and locations by "seasons", reflective of its original summer hours, and has called two locations home on Cortlandt Alley between Franklin Street and White Street, sometimes known as Mmuseumm Alley. Mmuseumm is dedicated to the curation and exhibition of contemporary artifacts to illustrate the modern world. Mmuseumm's first wing, Mmuseumm 1, opened in 2012 in a former elevator shaft. Tribeca
Tribeca (), originally written as TriBeCa, is a neighborhood in Lower Manhattan in New York City. Its name is a syllabic abbreviation of "Triangle Below Canal Street". The "triangle" (more accurately a quadrilateral) is bounded by Canal Street, West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. By the 2010s, a common marketing tactic was to extend Tribeca's southern boundary to either Vesey or Murray streets to increase the appeal of property listings. Cortlandt Alley
Cortlandt Alley is an alley in Lower Manhattan, New York City, which is often used as a filming location. Filming is not allowed in many of New York City's alleys, so Cortlandt Alley appears in many movies and TV shows, including ''Crocodile Dundee'', ''9½ Weeks'' and ''Boardwalk Empire''. As of 2019, film crews were working in the alley three to four times a week. The alley runs north to south from Canal Street to Franklin Street for three blocks between Tribeca and Chinatown.
