Mizanur Rahman (born July 30, 1991, Rajshahi) is a first-class and List A cricketer from Bangladesh. He played for Duronto Rajshahi in the 2012 BPL tournament where he scored a half century on debut. In December 2017, he and Nazmul Hossain Shanto batting for Rajshahi Division against Dhaka Metropolis in the 2017–18 National Cricket League, made the highest opening partnership in a domestic first-class match in Bangladesh, scoring 341 runs. He was the leading run-scorer for Central Zone in the 2017–18 Bangladesh Cricket League, with 439 runs in six matches. Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury ( bn, মিজানুর রহমান চৌধুরী; 19 October 1928 – 2 February 2006) was a Bengali politician, most notable for serving as Prime Minister of Bangladesh from 9 July 1986, to 27 March 1988. Personal life Chowdhury was born in Chandpur District, in what is now Bangladesh. In college, he was involved in student politics. His father was Muhammad Hafiz Chowdhury and his mother was Mahmuda Chowdhury. He went to high school in Nuria High Madrasa and went to graduate from Feni College in 1952. He was the headmaster of Bamni Junior High School in Noakhali district. He was selected to join the Provincial Public Service Commission and started in government service. He started Nuria High Madrasa in Chandpur as an English teacher after resigning government service. Chowdhury had a son, Abdullah Mizan. Mizanur Rahman Sayed ( bn, মিজানুর রহমান সাঈদ) is a Bangladeshi Islamic scholar. He was one of the five scholars selected by Islamic Foundation Bangladesh as Fatwa interpreters. Education Rahman attended Al-Jamiah Al-Ashrafiyyah in Fulgazi, Feni District before moving on to Al-Jamiah Al-Islamiah Patiya and Al-Jamiatul Ahlia Darul Ulum Moinul Islam for secondary education. He then attended Darul Uloom Karachi for higher study. There he studied Dawra-e-Hadith and specialized in Islamic Law and Fiqh.
