is a passenger railway station in located in the city of Miyazu, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan, operated by the private railway company Willer Trains (Kyoto Tango Railway). Lines Miyazu Station is the terminus station for all three lines of the Kyoto Tango Railway. The is a railway line of Kyoto Tango Railway in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. Trains on the line are operated by Willer Trains Inc. as part of its Kyoto Tango Railway system. History Building of the line was approved in 1953, with construction commencing in 1966, but being suspended in 1980 due to the financial constraints being experienced by JNR at the time. In 1982 the Miyafuku Railway Co. was established to recommence construction, which resumed the following year. Island Platform
An island platform (also center platform, centre platform) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are popular on twin-track routes due to pragmatic and cost reasons. They are also useful within larger stations where local and express services for the same direction of travel can be provided from opposite sides of the same platform thereby simplifying transfers between the two tracks.
