Miwa Sato (wrestler)
Miwa Sato (里美和, born August 8, 1966) is a retired Japanese female professional wrestler, who spent her entire career in Frontier Martial Arts Wrestling. Professional wrestling career Trained by Tarzan Goto at the Frontier Martial Arts Wrestling Dojo, Miwa Sato debuted at the first FMW event on October 6, 1989, in a three on one handicap match teaming with the dojo mates Eriko Tsuchiya and Kumiko Matsuda. On May 19, 1990, she and Yuki Morimatsu lost a loser-of-the fall-loses-hair match to Megumi Kudo and Reibun Amada, where Morimatsu lost the fall, thus Sato's hair was safe. On October 14, 1991, Sato won her only championship, the WWA World Women's Championship, defeating Combat Toyoda. She would hold onto the title for over five months, before losing the title to Eriko Tsuchiya. is a retired Japanese professional wrestler known as . She worked most of her career for Frontier Martial Arts Wrestling. Career After dropping out of high school, Rie Nakamura joined the Frontier Martial Arts Wrestling Dojo, where she was trained by Tarzan Goto and Megumi Kudo. She debuted on December 22, 1990, on FMW's first all-female show, losing to Keiko Iwami, who also made her debut. After paying her dues for over two years, she finally began to move up the ranks. In August 1993, she became known as Nurse Nakamura, portraying a sweet registered nurse. She was initially paired with former IWE veteran Mr. Chin, who was periodically wrestling comedy matches for FMW, due to his diabetes. She would (kayfabe) help examine Chin's condition. Ladies Legend Pro-Wrestling, also known as LLPW and currently as LLPW-X, is a Japanese independent women's professional wrestling promotion founded in 1992 by Rumi Kazama and Shinobu Kandori. History Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling split in 1992 into two promotions, JWP and LLPW. Kandori formed LLPW and was both a co-owner and one of their top stars. The group contained former Japan Women's Pro wrestlers and recruited the formerly retired All Japan Women's wrestler, Noriyo Tateno. Their debut show was on August 29, 1992. The promotion co-promoted with All Japan Women's in the 1990s, with many All Japan Women vs LLPW matchups. In 1995, LLPW held a female Mixed martial arts tournament called, "LLPW Ultimate L-1 Tournament", which was one of the first female MMA shows. In 2002, the group changed its name to LLPW-X.
