''Mitt sköna sextiotal'' is a Christer Sjögren studio album, released in Sweden on 17 September 2008 and on 24 April 2009 in Germany. While being a tribute album to 1960s popular music, it also consists of the 2008 Christer Sjögren song "I Love Europe" and a recording of "If Tomorrow Never Comes", a 1989 Garth Brooks song. Christer Sjögren
Hans Christer Sjögren (born 6 April 1950) is a Swedish singer, songwriter and musician. He is best known as the lead vocalist of the dansband Vikingarna. Early life Hans Christer Sjögren was born in Hagfors, Sweden, on 6 April 1950, as the child of Eivor (née Östling) and Hans Sjögren. Career 1978–2004: Vikingarna On 15 September 1978, Stefan Borsch left the band and Sjögren reluctantly became their lead singer. The first album by Vikingarna with Christer Sjögren as singer is " Kramgoa låtar 7", released in 1979. 2008–present He competed in Melodifestivalen 2008, the Swedish preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest. "What a Wonderful World" is a song written by Bob Thiele (as "George Douglas") and George David Weiss. It was first recorded by Louis Armstrong and released in 1967 as a single. It topped the pop chart in the United Kingdom, but performed poorly in the United States because Larry Newton, the president of ABC Records, disliked the song and refused to promote it. After it was heard in the film ''Good Morning, Vietnam'', it was reissued as a single in 1988, and rose to number 32 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Armstrong's recording was inducted to the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999. Composition and production Thiele produced the track under his own name, but as a co-composer was initially credited under the pseudonym George Douglas. His real name has appeared on it from its 1988 issue onward.
