Mito Pereira
Guillermo "Mito" Pereira Hinke (born 31 March 1995) is a Chilean professional golfer who plays in the LIV Golf League. Amateur career Pereira was runner-up at the 2006 Optimist International Junior Golf Championship (boys 10-11 division), and won the 2008 Optimist International Junior Golf Championship (boys 12-13 division). He was runner-up at the 2010 Junior Open Championship at Lundin Golf Club in Fife, Scotland. In 2013, at the age of 17, he won the Chilean Professional Tour's Abierto Internacional de Las Brisas de Chicureo, shooting 70-70-70 to win by one stroke over professionals Nico Geyger and Cristián León. Golf At The 2020 Summer Olympics – Men's Individual
The men's individual golf event at the 2020 Summer Olympics was held from 29 July to 1 August 2021 at the Kasumigaseki Country Club. 60 golfers from 35 nations competed in the event, which was won by Xander Schauffele of the United States. Background The first Olympic golf tournaments took place at the second modern Games in Paris 1900. Men's and women's events were held. Golf was featured again at the next Games, St. Louis 1904 with men's events (an individual tournament as well as a team event). The 1908 Games in London were also supposed to have a golf competition, but a dispute led to a boycott by all of the host nation's golfers, leaving only a single international competitor and resulting in the cancellation of the event. It is currently played at Thornblade Club (host course) in Greer, South Carolina and The Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The 2020–21 Korn Ferry Tour was the 31st season of the top developmental tour for the PGA Tour in men's golf, and the second under the current sponsored name of Korn Ferry Tour. Originally scheduled to run from January 12 to August 30, it was announced in early May 2020 that due to disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic that the in-progress and on-hold 2020 season would be merged with the planned 2021 season.
