Mitchell Picton
Mitchell Picton (born May 29, 1995) is a professional Canadian football wide receiver for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). University career Picton played U Sports football for the Regina Rams from 2013 to 2017. He was named a Canada West All-Star and CIS First-Team All-Canadian in 2016 after leading the country with 11 receiving touchdowns. He returned to the team in 2017 to complete his last year of playing eligibility. After a five-year career, Picton finished as the Rams' all-time touchdown leader with 24 scored. Professional career Picton was drafted in the fifth round, 37th overall, by his hometown Saskatchewan Roughriders and signed with the team on May 26, 2017. 2020 CFL Season
The 2020 CFL season would have been the 67th season of modern-day Canadian football. Officially, it would have been the 63rd season of the Canadian Football League. It was originally scheduled to begin on June 11; on April 7, the start of the season was delayed to begin no sooner than July due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. The CFL planned to obtain financial assistance from the federal government. In May, the CFL delayed the season to no sooner than September, and announced that the Grey Cup was to be played as a home advantage game rather than as a neutral site game in Regina, Saskatchewan, as originally planned. Noah Picton
Noah Picton (born July 5, 1995) is a former professional football quarterback and currently a quarterbacks coach for the Regina Rams of U Sports football. He played college football for the Rams from 2014 to 2018 and is the all-time leading passer in U Sports history. He also won the Hec Crighton Trophy in 2016 and was named a First Team All-Canadian twice in his career. University career Picton first joined the Regina Rams football program in 2013 where he dressed in one game while taking a redshirt season. During the 2014 season, he played in all eight regular season games and started in four of them as he split quarterbacking duties with Cayman Shutter. Despite only starting in four games, he set a conference record for a rookie by passing for 2,029 yards while completing 64.1% of his passes for 11 touchdowns and five interceptions. 2015 CFL Draft
The 2015 CFL Draft took place on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at 8:00 PM ET on TSN2 and RDS2. 62 players were chosen from among eligible players from Canadian Universities across the country, as well as Canadian players playing in the NCAA. For the first time since the 2006 CFL Draft, an NCAA player was drafted first overall, with Alex Mateas from the University of Connecticut being selected with the top pick. Six offensive linemen were drafted in the first round, which broke the previous record of five in the 1987 CFL Draft. The Calgary Stampeders are a professional Canadian football team based in Calgary, Alberta. The Stampeders compete in the West Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL). The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are a professional Canadian football team based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. They are currently members of the East Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Cody Michael Fajardo () (born March 29, 1992) is an American professional Canadian football quarterback for the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at Nevada and was their starting quarterback from 2011 to 2014. Fajardo accounted for over 13,000 yards and 101 touchdowns in his career at Nevada.
