Missouri Public Service Commission
The Missouri Public Service Commission regulates investor-owned telephone, electric, natural gas, steam, water, and sewer utilities in the state of Missouri. Manufacturers and retail dealers who sell new and used manufactured homes and modular units are also regulated by the commission. The PSC is composed of five commissioners, who are appointed by the Governor of Missouri. The current commissioners, as of 2021, are Chairman Ryan Silvey, Scott T. Rupp, Maida J. Natural Gas
Natural gas (also called fossil gas or simply gas) is a naturally occurring mixture of gaseous hydrocarbons consisting primarily of methane in addition to various smaller amounts of other higher alkanes. Ryan Silvey
Ryan Silvey (born April 17, 1976) is a former Republican member of the Missouri Senate and currently serves on the Missouri Public Service Commission. He represented the 17th district in the Missouri Senate, which includes part of Clay County, from 2013 until his resignation January 4, 2018. Early life and career Ryan Silvey was born in Kansas City, Missouri, where he attended Oak Park High School. He later attended Bob Jones University and majored in interpretive speech. He is a member of the Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce. He has a daughter. Political career Silvey was a legislative aide to US Senator Kit Bond. Maida Coleman
Maida Coleman (born July 1, 1954) is a Democratic politician from Missouri. Coleman was first elected to public office in 2000, when she was elected to the Missouri House of Representatives from the 63rd district. In 2002, Coleman won a special election to the Missouri Senate, representing the 5th district. Coleman represented the 5th district in the Missouri Senate until 2009, and from 2004 to 2008 she served as the minority leader. She was the first African American woman to serve as Senate Minority Leader in the Missouri Senate. Coleman has served on the Missouri Public Service Commission since she was appointed to the commission in 2015. Jason Holsman
Jason R. Holsman (born March 25, 1976) is a politician from the U.S. state of Missouri. He is currently a member of the Missouri Public Service Commission and a former member of the Missouri Senate for the 7th district in Jackson County. Early life and education Son of Gale and Judy Holsman, Jason was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated in 1994 from Blue Valley High School and attended the University of Missouri, where he became a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.
