A civil township is a widely used unit of local government in the United States that is subordinate to a county, most often in the northern and midwestern parts of the country. The 19th congressional district of Illinois was a congressional district in Illinois. It was eliminated as a result of the 2010 US census, as population growth in Illinois was slower compared to other states. The district became obsolete for 2013's 113th Congress. It was last represented by Republican John Shimkus, who was redistricted to the 15th district. Jersey Community Unit School District 100 is a public K-12 school district based in Jerseyville, Illinois. The school district consists of five attendance centers in two municipalities, serving students in most of Jersey County, Illinois, and a small portion of southern Greene County, Illinois. U.S. Route 67 is a major north–south U.S. highway which extends for 1,560 miles (2,511 km) in the Central United States.
