The main segment runs from MS 4, just east of the community of Looxahoma, north through eastern DeSoto and Tate counties to its northern terminus at the Mississippi/Tennessee state line. The Coldwater River is a river which flows for through northwestern Mississippi in the United States. It is a tributary of the Tallahatchie River, and part of the watershed of the Mississippi River, via the Yazoo River.
