Mississippi Highway 366 (Prentiss County)
Mississippi Highway 366 (MS 366) is a highway in Prentiss County, Mississippi. It starts at MS 370 at the Lee– Prentiss county line in the west. The route intersects many county routes as it travels eastward to MS 371, its eastern terminus. The route was designated in 1957, and became fully paved by 1971. Route description MS 366 starts at MS 370 on the Lee–Prentiss county line. The route curves northward after intersecting County Route 5011 (CO 5011). At CO 5411, the road begins a series of turns through the forest. MS 366 soon reaches CO 5334 and dips southeastward. It temporarily heads eastward at CO 5441, before turning south at CO 5345. The route travels east again at CO 5450, around a small area of farmland. MS 366 crosses over Casey Creek after intersecting CO 5481. Baldwyn is a city located in Lee and Prentiss counties, Mississippi, located in the northern part of the Tupelo micropolitan area. The population was 3,071 at the 2020 census. History Located five miles north of Guntown, the main street of Baldwyn runs along the county line of Lee and Prentiss counties. Baldwyn has the unusual distinction of having been incorporated in four counties. It was incorporated by an act of the Legislature in Tishomingo and Itawamba counties on April 1, 1861. It is split into three distinct sections, with the first running from Ashland at MS 5 to MS 15 at Falkner, the second running from MS 4 in Ripley to MS 30 in Pleasant Ridge, and the third and final section running from MS 9 and MS 30 near Jericho to Kirkville at MS 371. Mississippi Highway 371 (MS 371) is a state highway in northeastern Mississippi running from MS 6 near Amory to MS 4 near New Site. The highway has been in existence since 1950 but it has followed its current alignment since 1965. Route description MS 371 begins in the community of Bigbee, about northwest of the city of Amory at MS 6. The two-lane highway heads north through mostly wooded area of northern Monroe County. At the community of Cason, MS 371 intersects MS 776, the unsigned former alignment of MS 6. The highway heads into Itawamba County, where it continues north through more wooded areas.
