	Mission Records Mission Records was created by Glenn Frey and Peter Lopez in 1998 as an independent record label. The company is distributed by Navarre Corp. Its first album was ''One Planet, One Groove'' by Max Carl & Big Dance, released January 20, 1998. The company was originally intended as an outlet for Frey's solo records due to his dissatisfaction with the bigger labels; however, he did not release any of his own work on it, and the label is now inactive. picture info	Glenn Frey Glenn Lewis Frey (; November 6, 1948 – January 18, 2016) was an American singer, guitarist and a founding member of the rock band Eagles. Frey was the co-lead singer and frontman for the Eagles, roles he came to share with fellow member Don Henley, with whom he wrote most of the Eagles' material. Frey played guitar and keyboards as well as singing lead vocals on songs such as "Take It Easy", "Peaceful Easy Feeling", " Tequila Sunrise", " Already Gone", " James Dean", "Lyin' Eyes", "New Kid in Town", and "Heartache Tonight". During the hiatus of the Eagles from 1980 to 1994, Frey embarked on a successful solo career. 	Max Carl Max Carl Gronenthal (born January 29, 1950) is an American rock singer, keyboardist, guitarist and songwriter. He is the co-lead singer of the classic rock band Grand Funk Railroad. In addition, he spent several years as the keyboardist and lead singer for the southern rock band 38 Special. Carl is known for having co-written and sung lead vocals on 38 Special's hit song, " Second Chance" (1989). Early life Carl was born in 1950 in Platte Center, Nebraska, United States, and raised near the town of Humphrey, graduating from high school in Norfolk, Nebraska in 1968.
