''Missing Pieces'' is the fourth studio album by American glam metal band Autograph An autograph is a person's own handwriting or signature. The word ''autograph'' comes from Ancient Greek (, ''autós'', "self" and , ''gráphō'', "write"), and can mean more specifically: Gove, Philip B. (ed.), 1981. ''Webster's Third New Inter .... It was released initially in 1997 on the Pavement Music label, then re-released in both 2002 and 2004 by Crash Music, Inc. The material was recorded for an album intended for a 1989 release, but the project was abandoned and the group disbanded. Autograph is an American glam metal band formed in Pasadena, California, in 1983. The band is best known for their 1984 hit song " Turn Up the Radio". Due to the song being their only major success, Autograph is often considered a one-hit wonder. History Formation and classic years (1983–1988) Autograph originally began in late 1983, as a solo project for singer, songwriter and guitarist Steve Plunkett, who had recently left the band Silver Condor. Plunkett was playing and recording his own material with a group of his musician friends, most of whom had previously played with him in other bands: On lead guitar was Steve Lynch, who had played with Plunkett in the band Looker. Glam Metal
Glam metal (also known as hair metal or pop metal) is a subgenre of heavy metal that features pop-influenced hooks and guitar riffs, upbeat rock anthems, and slow power ballads. It borrows heavily from the fashion and image of 1970s glam rock. Early glam metal evolved directly from the glam rock movement of the 1970s, as visual elements taken from acts such as T. Rex, the New York Dolls, and David Bowie (and to a lesser extent, the punk and new wave movements taking place concurrently in New York City) were fused with the decidedly more heavy metal leaning and theatrical acts such as Alice Cooper and Kiss. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Some of the earliest hard rock music was produced by the Kinks, the Who, The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Cream, Vanilla Fudge, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. In the late 1960s, bands such as Blue Cheer, the Jeff Beck Group, Iron Butterfly, Led Zeppelin, Golden Earring, Steppenwolf and Deep Purple also produced hard rock. Loud And Clear (Autograph Album)
''Loud and Clear'' is the third studio album by American glam metal band Autograph, released in 1987. It would be the final album to feature original material by all five original members. The band would not issue another release until 1997. Two of the tracks featured on this album, "Dance all Night" and "She Never Looked that Good For Me" appeared (alongside with the band members themselves) in the 1987 fantasy-comedy film '' Like Father Like Son'', released the same year. The original album issue, by RCA Records is out of print. The album was reissued on CD in 2006 by Rock Candy Records. ''Buzz'' is the fifth studio album by American glam metal band Autograph. Apart from original lead singer and songwriter Steve Plunkett, the band had a completely new lineup of members. The original lineup of members recorded and released three studio albums from 1984-1987, before disbanding in 1989 with '' Loud and Clear'' being the last release.
