Misser
Misser was an American emo band formed in Walnut Creek, California. The band's lineup consisted of Tim Landers (ex-Transit (band), Transit) on guitar and vocals and Brad Wiseman (ex-This Time Next Year (band), This Time Next Year) performing vocals. Since their formation in 2010, the band has released three EPs and one full-length album. The band has toured with bands such as Transit, Diamond Youth, The Wonder Years (band), The Wonder Years, Hostage Calm, and Fireworks (punk band), Fireworks. History Misser started as the solo project of Landers while he was still playing in Transit. Landers wrote six songs and tracked them with Dan Rose (of Daybreaker). Jay Maas was set to mix and master the tracks, but the project files were instead deleted from his computer. A few months later Landers released those songs online in their original state. Transit (band)
Transit was an American rock band from Stoneham, Massachusetts. From their formation in 2006 to their 2016 split, they released five albums, four EPs, and a split EP with Man Overboard. Although they largely took influence from emo acts such as Saves the Day, Death Cab for Cutie, American Football, Fairweather, Lifetime, and Hot Water Music their sound transformed from a fusion of pop punk and contemporary emo from their early releases into an indie rock sound by their final release, ''Joyride''. Biography In January 2007, Transit made a demo, two songs of which appeared on their Myspace profile. A few months later, "Shift On" and "Waterways in NE" were posted online prior to the release of ''Let It Out''. History Early releases and debut album (2006–10) This Time Next Year was a pop-punk band from Walnut Creek, California. They lasted for about six years from December 30, 2006 until December 7, 2012, where they played their final show at Chain Reaction in Anaheim, CA. This Time Next Year take their name from the album of the same name released by The Movielife. The band recorded a five-song demo with Zach Ohren and self-released it in 2006. Fireworks is an American rock band from Metro Detroit, Michigan. They are currently signed to Triple Crown Records. History Early years and debut album (2004–10) Fireworks began in 2004 under the name Bears, hailing from the Metro Detroit area of Michigan. A demo, ''Can't Hardly Wait'', was released on September 15, 2005. They signed to the independent label, Run For Cover Records, who released their debut EP, ''We Are Everywhere'', and 7" ''Adventure, Nostalgia and Robbery''. Set Your Goals is an American punk rock band from San Francisco, California, formed in 2004. Their band name is derived from the CIV album of the same name. The band consists of vocalists Jordan Brown and Matt Wilson, drummer Mike Ambrose, guitarists Audelio Flores Jr and Daniel Coddaire and bassist Joe Saucedo. History Formation and first releases (2004–08) Forming in 2004, Set Your Goals released their first self-titled EP through Straight on Records in May 2004. The band embarked on some of their first tours with The Warriors and Make Move, as the word circulated about the EP they were approached by a number of labels. Archers of Loaf is an American indie rock band originally formed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, in 1991. The group toured extensively and released four studio albums, one compilation, numerous singles and EPs, and a live album which was released after the band broke up in 1998. In 2011 the band began a reunion tour that coincided with the reissue of four of its albums by Merge Records. Web in Front is a song by American indie rock band Archers of Loaf, originally released as a 7" single on Alias Records in 1993. It was their first release on the Alias label, and their first single from their debut album ''Icky Mettle''. The original single also included the tracks "Bathroom" and "Tatayana". Impact "Web in Front" launched ''Icky Mettle'' to high-ranking positions on the college charts, including #18 on the CMJ New Music Report Top 150. The single was played regularly on both college radio and MTV, and its music video was featured in an episode of Beavis & Butthead. Critical reception When "Web in Front" was originally released, music critics often compared it to Pavement and Superchunk. Mutiny!
''Mutiny!'' is the debut studio album by the rock band Set Your Goals. Within the first three months of 2006, the band signed to independent label Eulogy Recordings and recorded the album with Barrett Jones in Seattle, Washington. Immediately following recording, the band embarked on two tours across the United States. Before releasing ''Mutiny'' in July, the album was preceded by the single release of the title track. The band subsequently toured the US, either as a supporting act or headlining, into mid-2007. After appearing on that year's Warped Tour, the group toured across Europe before closing out the year with another US tour. At the end of 2007, guitarist Dave Yoha left the band and was replaced by Dan Coddaire. Another round of touring followed, throughout Australia and the UK, before the release of the music video for "Echoes".
