"Miss You in a Heartbeat" is a 1994 song by English hard rock band Def Leppard. The song was released as a single from their album ''Retro Active''. Background Three versions of the song appear on ''Retro Active''; the acoustic version (4:04), which was released as the single, the electric version (4:56), which was one of the bonus tracks for the Japanese pressing of ''Adrenalize'' along with "She's Too Tough", before both were remixed for ''Retro Active'', and the piano version which is featured as a hidden track on the ''Retro Active'' album. It is played after the electric version of "Two Steps Behind". The single peaked at number 39 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and was Def Leppard's last American top 40 single to date. Although "Miss You in a Heartbeat" was written by Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen, it was initially recorded and released by The Law on their 1991 self-titled debut. Def Leppard
Def Leppard are an English rock band formed in 1976 in Sheffield. Since 1992, the band has consisted of Rick Savage (bass, backing vocals), Joe Elliott (lead vocals), Rick Allen (drums, backing vocals), Phil Collen (guitar, backing vocals), and Vivian Campbell (guitar, backing vocals). They established themselves as part of the new wave of British heavy metal movement of the early 1980s. The band's greatest commercial success came between the early 1980s and the early 1990s. Their first album, 1980's ''On Through the Night'', reached the Top 15 in the UK but received little notice elsewhere. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in the United States. A maxi single or maxi-single (sometimes abbreviated to MCD or CDM) is a music single release with more than the usual two tracks of an A-side song and a B-side song. The first maxi singles Mungo Jerry's first single, "In the Summertime" was the first maxi single in the world. The term came into wide use in the 1970s, where it usually referred to 7-inch vinyl singles featuring one track on the A-side and two on the B-side. The 1975 reissue of David Bowie's "Space Oddity", where the featured song is coupled with "Changes" and "Velvet Goldmine", is a typical example. The Law is the first and only album from the Paul Rodgers led group The Law (English band), The Law. History The Law was formed when Paul Rodgers met Kenney Jones in a nightclub in London and decided to put a band together. The two teamed up with different supporting musicians in order to give Rodgers freedom to pursue whatever music style he felt like. Unlike his previous projects, in which he wrote or co-wrote most of the material, Rodgers relied heavily on outside writers to write songs for the album (such as Phil Collen, Chris Rea and Bryan Adams); the only chart topper of the album, "Laying Down the Law", was written by Rodgers himself. The album features notable appearances by David Gilmour, Bryan Adams and Chris Rea. The Law (English Band)
The Law were an English rock group formed in 1991 by singer Paul Rodgers (ex- Free, Bad Company and The Firm) and drummer Kenney Jones (ex-Small Faces/Faces and The Who). They intended to use different supporting musicians, to allow Rodgers to pursue whatever style he wished. They assembled a core band of studio musicians, consisting of Jim Barber (whose credits include The Rolling Stones, Ruby Turner and Mick Jagger's solo album ''Primitive Cool'') as the main guitarist, second guitarist John Staehely (ex-Spirit and Jo Jo Gunne) and bassist Pino Palladino (formerly of Paul Young's and Jools Holland's bands), with guest spots by guitarists such as David Gilmour, Bryan Adams and Chris Rea. "Two Steps Behind" is a song by English hard rock band Def Leppard from their album ''Retro Active'' and the soundtrack to the film ''Last Action Hero''. The album features touched-up versions of B-sides and previously unreleased recordings from the band's recording sessions from 1984 to 1993. The album charted at number 9 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and No. 6 on the UK Albums Chart. ''Adrenalize'' is the fifth studio album by English rock band Def Leppard, released on 31 March 1992 through Mercury Records. It is the first album by the band recorded without guitarist Steve Clark who died in 1991 and the only one recorded as a four-member band. Spawning seven singles, four of them – " Let's Get Rocked", "Make Love Like a Man", " Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad", and " Stand Up (Kick Love into Motion)" – were major hits. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements.
