Miss World Philippines 2017
Miss World Philippines 2017 was the 7th edition of the Miss World Philippines pageant. It was held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines on September 3, 2017. It was the first edition under the new national director, Arnold Vegafria. At the end of the event, Catriona Gray crowned Laura Lehmann as Miss World Philippines 2017. Three additional titleholders were also crowned at the event which were Teresita Marquez as Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2017, Cynthia Thomalla as Miss Eco Philippines 2017, and Sophia Señoron as Miss Multinational Philippines 2017. Glyssa Perez was named First Runner-Up, and Zara Carbonell was named Second Runner-Up. The event was attended by Miss World chairman Julia Morley, Miss World 2016 Stephanie Del Valle, and the Miss World 2016 Continental Queens of Beauty. Mall Of Asia Arena
The SM Mall of Asia Arena, also known as the Mall of Asia Arena or the MoA Arena, is an indoor arena within the SM Mall of Asia complex, in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. It has a seating capacity of 15,000 for sporting events, and a full house capacity of 20,000. The Arena officially opened on May 21, 2012. It has retractable seats and a 2,000-capacity car park building. Miss World 2016, the 66th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on December 18, 2016 at the MGM National Harbor, Oxon Hill, Maryland, United States. 117 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. Stephanie Del Valle Díaz (born December 30, 1996) is a Puerto Rican musician, model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss World 2016. She is the second woman from Puerto Rico to win the Miss World title, after Wilnelia Merced in 1975. She previously won Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico 2016.
