Miss Venezuela 1986 was the 33rd Miss Venezuela pageant, was held in Caracas, Venezuela on May 9, 1986, after weeks of events. The winner of the pageant was Bárbara Palacios, Miss Trujillo. The pageant was broadcast live on Venevisión from the Teatro Municipal in Caracas. At the conclusion of the final night of competition, outgoing titleholder Silvia Martínez, crowned Bárbara Palacios of Trujillo as the new Miss Venezuela. Bárbara Palacios
Bárbara Palacios Teyde de Manrique (born December 9, 1963) is a Venezuelan TV host, writer, Christian preacher and beauty queen. She is the third woman from Venezuela to win the Miss Universe pageant on 21 July 1986 held in Panama. Early life Palacios was born in Madrid to divorced parents Bárbara Teyde (died September 2008) and Jorge Palacios. Her father was a Spanish actor and her mother was a Venezuelan actress with a prolific acting career in Venezuela. They moved to Caracas, Venezuela in the mid-1960s when Palacios was one and a half years old, and according to the laws of the time, of the South American country, she was considered Venezuelan by birth. Maite Coromoto Delgado de Mora (born September 20, 1966) is a Venezuelan TV show host and former beauty queen. Life Delgado was born on 20 September 1966 in Valle de Guanape, Anzoátegui, Venezuela. In 1986 she started as a pageant in the Miss Venezuela contest. As her 2nd runner up, in the same year, she participates and won for Venezuela the title and crown of Miss Tourism International held in Santo Domingo. Her debut as a co-host of the morning show "Complicidades" in Venevisión was the beginning of an uninterrupted career with a lot of successful appearances into families TV shows as "Circo Cómplice" and "País de Caramelo". Apure
Apure State ( es, Estado Apure, ) is one of the 23 states of Venezuela. Its territory formed part of the provinces of Mérida, Maracaibo, and Barinas, in accordance with successive territorial ordinations pronounced by the colonial authorities.
