Miss U.S. International is the official United States preliminary to the Miss International Beauty Pageant (officially titled The International Beauty Pageant). The United States has sent a representative to the Miss International pageant since its inception in 1960. The only year a representative was not sent was in 2006. The current titleholder is Kenyatta Beazer of Maryland, who was crowned on July 22, 2022 will representing USA at Miss International 2023 beauty pageant. A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Pageants have now evolved to include inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of personality, intelligence, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. The term beauty pageant refers originally to the Big Four international beauty pageants. Lindsay Bloom
Lindsay Diane Bloom is an American actress and former beauty-pageant contestant. Bloom is a native of Omaha, Nebraska. At age 17, she decided to become an actress and entered beauty pageants to gain attention. She was Miss Omaha in the 1968 preliminaries for the Miss America Pageant. She did not advance to the national level. In 1969, she won the title of Miss Utah. In 1972-73, Bloom was featured on ''The Dean Martin Show'' in the second edition of the Dingaling Sisters.
