Miss Teen USA 2015
Miss Teen USA 2015 was the 33rd Miss Teen USA pageant. It was held at the Atlantis Paradise Island in Nassau, The Bahamas on August 22, 2015 and was hosted by Miss USA 2013 Erin Brady and television writer Nick Teplitz. All fifty states and District of Columbia competed. K. Lee Graham of South Carolina crowned her successor Katherine Haik of Louisiana at the end of the event. Katherine Haik
Katherine Olivia Haik ( ; born May 9, 2000) is an American model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Teen USA 2015. At age 15, she was the youngest contestant to ever be crowned Miss Teen USA as well as the second entrant from Louisiana to win the title, following Shelley Hennig who won Miss Teen USA 2004. Early life and education Haik was born on May 9, 2000, in Covington, Louisiana to Tim and Jennifer Haik, yet was raised in Franklinton. She graduated from Franklinton High School in 2018, and attends Louisiana State University, where she is a member of Kappa Delta sorority. She graduated from LSU in May 2022. Pageantry Haik competed in Miss Louisiana Teen USA 2015 and won the competition. She went on to compete at Miss Teen USA 2015, where was crowned the winner. Miss North Carolina Teen USA
The Miss North Carolina Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of North Carolina in the Miss Teen USA pageant and is part of the RPM Productions group. North Carolina has been moderately successful at Miss Teen USA, but has never won the title. Their best placement was in 1987, 2006 and 2016 when Peggy Blackwell, Melissa Lingafelt and Emily Wakeman placed first runner-up respectively. North Carolina's greatest success came from the mid-1980s to early 1990s. Their most recent placement came in 2018, when Kaaviya Sambasivam placed fourth runner-up. North Carolina, along with Illinois and Florida, has the most Miss Photogenic award winners in the pageant with three each. Miss West Virginia Teen USA
The Miss West Virginia Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of West Virginia in the Miss Teen USA pageant. This pageant is independently conducted and produced by Sanders & Associates, Inc., dba- Pageant Associates based in Buckhannon, West Virginia. Despite a relatively strong start in the 1980s, with two semi-finals finishes, no Miss West Virginia Teen USA placed from 1988 to 2005, when Andrea Turner placed 2nd runner-up to Allie LaForce of Ohio. After this, West Virginia had more success, with more placements in 2007, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2017 and 2018. Four Miss West Virginia Teen USA's have also won the Miss West Virginia USA title and competed at Miss USA. Miss Vermont Teen USA
The Miss Vermont Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Vermont in the Miss Teen USA pageant. It is formerly directed by Sanders & Associates, Inc., dba- Pageant Associates based in Buckhannon, West Virginia from 2004 to 2017 before GDB Theatre and Pageant Productions becoming the new directors of the stage pageant since 2018. Charlotte Lopez, Miss Vermont Teen USA 1993, was the first Vermont Teen to win the Miss Teen USA crown and the 10th state that won the title for the first time. Four Miss Vermont Teen USA titleholders have won the Miss Vermont USA title and competed at Miss USA. Prior to 2022, no sisters had been held the Miss and Teen titles in a single state. The Miss Texas Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Texas in the Miss Teen USA pageant. This pageant is part of the Miss USA organization, owned by Texas native Crystle Stewart, who was Miss USA for 2008. Texas is in the top 5 most successful states at Miss Teen USA in terms of number and value of placements. Alongside Oregon they are the only two states to have produced three winners. The Miss South Carolina Teen USA pageant is the competition that selects the representatives for the state of South Carolina in the Miss Teen USA pageant. The pageant has been directed by RPM Productions since its inception. Miss Oklahoma Teen USA
The Miss Oklahoma Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Oklahoma in the Miss Teen USA pageant. This pageant is directed by Vanbros and Associates, headquartered in Lenexa, Kansas. In 1997, Oklahoma joined the Vanbros group of state pageants for the Miss USA and Teen USA system. The Miss New York Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of New York in the Miss Teen USA pageant. It is directed by D&D Productions. In 1983, New York became the 1st state ever that won the Miss Teen USA title for the first time. New York is also one of only five states to have won the Miss Congeniality award at least two times. The Miss Arkansas Teen USA competition is the beauty pageant, pageant that selects the representative for the state of Arkansas in the Miss Teen USA pageant. The state pageant was directed by Premier Pageants from 2002 to 2007 before becoming part of the Vanbros organization, headquartered in Lenexa, Kansas. Miss Arizona Teen USA
The Miss Arizona Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Arizona in the Miss Teen USA pageant and the title held by that winner. The first Arizona Teen to place at Miss Teen USA was Jeri-Lynn Beatty who made the top 12 in 1990. Three more Arizona teens have gone on to win the Miss Arizona USA title, including Danielle Demski, one of only two to place in the top five or six at Miss Teen USA.
