Miss Teen USA 2012
Miss Teen USA 2012 was the 30th Miss Teen USA pageant. The pageant was held on July 28, 2012 at the Grand Ballroom of the Atlantis Paradise Island in Nassau, The Bahamas. Danielle Doty of Texas crowned Logan West from Connecticut as the new Miss Teen USA 2012 at the end of the event. The 50 states and the District of Columbia competed for the prestigious title and the pageant was streamed globally on the official Miss Teen USA website over its Ustream channel and was also streamed for the first time to Xbox 360 consoles over Xbox Live in North America and in select regions in Europe, Oceania and Latin America. Miss Connecticut Teen USA
The Miss Connecticut Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Connecticut in the Miss Teen USA pageant. The state pageant directors are: *Crown Productions from 2003 to 2008 *Sanders & Associates, Inc., dba- Pageant Associates based in Buckhannon, West Virginia from 2009 to 2017 *Five Crown Pageant Productions based in Washington, D.C. from 2018 to 2019 *Ewald Productions from 2020 Connecticut has been one of the least successful states at Miss Teen USA. Logan West
Logan West (born June 20, 1994) is an American beauty queen who competed and won Miss Connecticut Teen USA 2012, and was later crowned Miss Teen USA 2012. West was the first contestant from the state of Connecticut to win the title. Pageantry Logan West held the Miss Connecticut's Outstanding Teen 2010 title and competed in Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2010. She did not place, but she did win an evening gown award. The Miss New York Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of New York in the Miss Teen USA pageant. It is directed by D&D Productions. In 1983, New York became the 1st state ever that won the Miss Teen USA title for the first time. New York is also one of only five states to have won the Miss Congeniality award at least two times. Miss New Mexico Teen USA
The Miss New Mexico Teen USA competition is a pageant that selects the representative for the state of New Mexico in the broader Miss Teen USA pageant. It is directed by Laura's Productions based in El Paso, Texas. New Mexico has seen six state teens place in the Miss Teen USA pageant with three of these placements occurring during the 1980s, which and made New Mexico one of the more successful states in that decade. Not a single New Mexico teen had placed from 1988 until Brittany Toll made the finals in 2005. Five New Mexico teens have triumphed at the Miss New Mexico USA and compete at Miss USA. Miss Kansas Teen USA
The Miss Kansas Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Kansas in the Miss Teen USA pageant. This pageant has been part of the Vanbros organisation since 1992, and in 2006, they celebrated their fifteen-year anniversary with a reunion of former titleholders at the 2007 pageant. For the first time, all the judges for both the Miss Kansas USA and Miss Kansas Teen USA pageants were former titleholders from the Vanbros states: Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Nebraska. Prior to 1994, the pageant was held concurrently with the Miss Kansas USA event, which was hosted by Kansas City. In 1994, the pageant was moved to Wichita. Miss Illinois Teen USA
The Miss Illinois Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Illinois in the Miss Teen USA pageant. It is directed by Vanbros and Associates and is previously directed by D&D Productions from 2001 to 2014 before becoming part of Vanbros organization in 2014, headquartered in Lenexa, Kansas. Illinois is in the top fifteen states in terms of number and value of placements over the twenty-three years of the Miss Teen USA competition. Illinois ties with Florida and North Carolina for the most Miss Photogenic awards won at Miss Teen USA (3) and has won more awards than any other state. Like the Miss USA Pageant, Illinois went on to win the Miss Teen USA title in the second edition of the pageant. Miss Hawaii Teen USA
The Miss Hawaii Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Hawaii in the Miss Teen USA pageant. Although Hawaii has made the cut fewer times than many states, they have achieved a number of high placings. Hawaii Teen USAs have been quite successful at Miss Teen USA, and are ranked fifteenth in terms of number and value of placementand were ranked third in the 1980 Kelly Hu won the competition in 1985 becoming the 3rd state that won the Miss Teen USA title for the first time and Kiilani Arruda won in 2020 becoming the 38th Miss Teen USA titleholder, while two other Hawaii teens have placed as first runner-up. Miss Georgia Teen USA
The Miss Georgia Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Georgia in the Miss Teen USA pageant. This pageant is directed Greenwood Productions under the ownership of Miss Tennessee USA 1989 Kim Greenwood. The pageant is hosted on McDonough, Georgia. Georgia is in the top 5 most successful states at Miss Teen USA in terms of number and value of placements. Despite this, like their sister pageant, Miss Georgia USA, they have never won the competition despite having placed 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th as well as several finalist and semi-finalist spots. They have never won any of the main awards, but did win Style awards in 1999 and 2000. Miss Alabama USA, previously known as Miss Alabama Universe, is the beauty pageant that selects the representative for the state of Alabama in the Miss USA pageant, and the name of the title held by its winner. The pageant is directed by RPM Productions. Alabama's most successful placement was in 1967, when Sylvia Hitchcock was crowned Miss USA. She later went on to be crowned Miss Universe 1967 as well. Alabama's most recent placement was in 2020, when Kelly Hutchinson placed as the fourth runner-up. Miss Alabama Teen USA
The Miss Alabama Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Alabama in the Miss Teen USA pageant and the name of the title held by that winner. Alabama's success at Miss Teen USA has improved in recent years, with eight teens making the cut, although none have placed higher than 4th runner-up until 2016. That placement went to Anna Mingus, who also won Miss Congeniality, Alabama's only special award until Erin Snow won Miss Photogenic in 2016. Mingus later took the title Miss Alabama USA in 1995, and is one of only three Alabama teens to win a Miss USA state title. Until 2010 Miss and Teen Alabama was directed by the Premier Pageants group, and was the first state to be taken under this directorate. Miss Ohio Teen USA
The Miss Ohio Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Ohio in the Miss Teen USA pageant and the name of the title held by that winner. Most recently the pageant has been held in Springfield, Ohio and was previously held in Portsmouth for 14 years. Contestants compete in three competition segments: swimsuit, interview, and evening gown. Prizes include a scholarship to Lindenwood University. Their first Miss Teen USA title came in 2005 Allie LaForce won the national crown, Ohio's first placement since 1993. LaForce went on to become a successful sports broadcaster.
