Miss Monday (born 1976) is a Japanese hip-hop and R&B artist.Deming, MarkMiss Monday Biography, Allmusic, retrieved 2011-06-19 She sings as well as raps, and has collaborated with other artists such as Sowelu, JAMOSA, and Youngshim. She began her career in 2000, releasing singles on the I.D. Records label before being signed by the Japanese arm of Epic Records, for whom she recorded several albums before parting company with them in 2007. After that, she signed with For Life Music Entertainment until her retirement in 2018. AllMusic (previously known as All Music Guide and AMG) is an American online music database. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. Initiated in 1991, the database was first made available on the Internet in 1994. AllMusic is owned by RhythmOne. History AllMusic was launched as ''All Music Guide'' by Michael Erlewine, a "compulsive archivist, noted astrologer, Buddhist scholar and musician". He became interested in using computers for his astrological work in the mid-1970s and founded a software company, Matrix, in 1977. RIP SLYME
Rip Slyme (often stylized as RIP SLYME) is a Japanese hip hop group. In its best known incarnation, it was primarily composed of four MCs (Ryo-Z, Ilmari, Pes & Su) and a DJ, Fumiya. Pes and Su have since parted ways with the group. Their sound is influenced by old-school hip hop and other western rappers such as The Pharcyde, De La Soul, Public Enemy, Jurassic 5, the Beastie Boys, DJ Premier and Leaders of the New School. During their career, they have released two indie albums, ten major albums, one live album, one indies collection, and three best-of albums. They released six singles as an indie act, and 17 with a major label. On October 31, 2018 the group announced that they were suspending all activities. , also known by the name THE SxPLAY, is a Japanese singer. She debuted as a musician in 2009, and sung " Kimi ga Iru Kara," the theme song for the Japanese version of ''Final Fantasy XIII''. Biography In January 2008, Sayuri Sugawara participated in the "7 Days Audition" and the "30 Days Audition". She won both auditions and received a contract with For Life Music Entertainment Following the digital success of her debut song, Sugawara released her debut single, "Ano Hi no Yakusoku" on September 30, 2009. On September 3, 2009, at the ''Final Fantasy XIII'' premiere, it was announced that she would perform its theme song, "Kimi ga Iru Kara". Composed by Masashi Hamauzu, Sugawara performed the song with a live orchestral accompaniment at the premiere. better known by her stage name, Sowelu, is a Japanese pop/ R&B singer signed onto Avex Group's label Rhythm Zone. History Her career started in 2002 with the release of her first single ''Beautiful Dreamer'', a soft love ballad which did very well in the charts, and was later featured on the ''Relaxin’ with Japanese Lovers'' compilation album. Her first single was modestly successful, and it wasn't until the release of her album ''Geofu'' in the summer of 2003 that she gained recognition. ''Geofu'' did exceptionally well in the charts, scoring a number 4 position with more than 300,000 copies sold. Dragon Ash
is a Japanese rap rock group founded in 1996 by Kenji "KJ" Furuya and Sakurai Makoto. They were one of the first groups to popularize hip hop in Japan. Dragon Ash is a member of Mob Squad, which is an affiliation with the bands Source and Endive. Dragon Ash uses the French fleur-de-lis as their band logo/symbol.
